as is publicised petrochemicals are a limited resource ok it wont run out in our lifetimes but in the time of our children's children things may well be different - ok marijuanah can get you high but hemp doesnt have to produce thc to be a valuable resource lots ofnon thc producint varieties of hemp, plastic uses up petrochemicals - hemp uses the sun to grow

hemp was one of the most important crops upto 1950 both world wars made extensive use of hemp products (not marijuanah hemp)

Honestly I dint think they'll ever lobby for the production of hemp for anything. It's to much of a danger for the government to say yes you can grow hemp for said product, because then they are going to have to closely monitor those that are growing it to make sure they aren't growing for the drug trade. They don't want to have to put that kind of manpower into something because they'll have to PAY those people to do that. And they won't legalise it because the government can't properly tax it because people can grow it on their front porches. They'd rather deplete the earths resources rather than take a chance the the public is smoking reefer. They have their priorities...it's all about money. They don't care what they are doing to the planet, they won't be here to watch it fall apart so why should they care.

Yes, we all ought to use more renewables for fuel. Alcohol as in Brasil would be good.
