why are so many people so angry?

you know my family immigrated here from ireland,during the potato famine.if you think the mexicans are taking our jobs,then work harder.if you get mad because they dont speak english,then help them learn english,maybe if you are so inclined,they can teach you spanish.if not wanting to learn spanish,then dont.immigrants are here to make a better life for themselves and they do contribute to our country,they work and live here,and have died for the usa.a piece of paper should not dictate a persons right to have a good life.many of my friends are mexican,and i.n.s.,has chased a few a way.damn good workers,just because a lack of a tracking number like ss#,or birth cert.what gives america such an ego,and think that we are the absolute good on the planet. we stole this country,and populated it the way we saw fit,and now we sh*t on the rest of the world.WHY?

As the victim, how do you drop charges in a criminal case?

My boyfriend and I got in a fight, and the charges against him are serious felonies, including kidnapping, assault, aggravated burglury, and menacing. I made a statement of what happened to the police and they decided on what the charges should be. I was not aware of how serious these things were and how much time he could get in prison. Since he's been in jail, i have reconsidered my statement and would like him to be released. he has not gone to court yet, but the prosecutor told me there is nothing i can do until we go to court. I dont know what to do in the mean time to help get him released and work on dropping the charges. I have written another statement to the prosecutor describing my changed feelings, but i do not want the court to think that i lied to them in any way. I do not want to incriminate myself.
