That's a bunch of garbage. Illegal immigrants are costing the US $60 Billion a year. Plus, they don't even pay taxes and if they do, they are low taxes. They cost more money then what they are making and what they ARE making goes to their families in mexico. Not to mention the fact that the immigration bill that the senate considered would make it so that illegals with stolen SSNs would be allowed to keep and collect money on SS. Finally, find a source that is actually CREDIBLE and does not cite the New York Trash as evidence.

There are many different ways of looking at it I suppose. Much depends on what your position on illegal immigration is and how you'd like to see it resolved.

But here is one way I look at the article you referred me and others to. Take the same concept as in the article and apply it to something more localized and personal, for instance, your home. Let's say you're a home owner. You've owned the home for 10 years, made all the payments, worked on the house, remodeled, made improvements and the home is highly valuable in today's market. Without you knowing about it (or at least approving it), Jose Mendez, an illegal immigrant who lives down the block, has been paying a portion of your property taxes for the last 5 years. Now he wants a piece of the pie. He feels he's entitled to part ownership of your home. After all...he worked hard, provided a service that other's wouldn't do, and he has a family and children to support. How do you feel about Jose's claim to a portion of your assets?

This on balance is all counted into the economic studies I've seen done and illegal immigration is still a major economic loss. The off-set paid for the class isn't close, although any one illegal immigrant may pay more. It is an even bigger loss when you note that these fees do NOTHING to pay for education services illegal immigrants use. That is one reason it ticks me off so much that the Senate was going to allow benefits based on illegal work.

I don't know who that guy is. If you read your previous post you have my answer.
He didn't included how much is spent on other programs. It is a web of half truths not the whole (if it is true).
They are a drain on us no matter how you feel about the people.
Don't print part truths it isn't right.

Illegal immigrants to the US cost the country at least $10 billion more than they contribute to the economy. The CIS (Center for Immigration Studies) advises that if amnesty is put into place, these costs to the American economy (and the American taxpayer) will triple. The average illegal immigrant family uses $2,700/year more in services than it pays in taxes. In 2002, this amounted to a $10.4 billion drain on the federal budget. Some of the greatest federal costs included: Medicaid ($2.5 billion); treatment for the uninsured ($2.2 billion); food assistance programs ($1.9 billion); the federal prison and court systems ($1.6 billion); and federal aid to schools ($1.4 billion). And it has now tripled

Huh. Never really thought about that before. I guess illegal immigrants are kind of paying a bit, aren't they. I guess that's good. Of course, there are many other illegal immigrants who work under the table. That's the only thing I disagree with...if you're going to live here, then you have to pay like everyone else. I you are paying, then I have no problem with you.

Illegal is illegal and all the trumped up statistics in the world won't change that. The illegals will manage to collect ssc by lieing and falsifying their records just as they do for many other things. I've seen too many free school meals and free medical care handed out to these people to feel that they are being cheated in any way.

OK. It says right there there in your PROOF, that they pretty much pulled these numbers straight out of their A$$, Not to mention the "study" is over a year old..... Can't you come up with something better?

You know what, I don't care if every last one of them pays taxes. That is beside the point. They are illegal. That should end this discussion right there.

He stated he "bet they pay more". No mention of the false social security identities needed to work ILLEGALLY for employer. Where did they get the SSN to work? Also, it never stated they filed for Federal Taxes? It is not our fault that illegal immigrants are willing ankle grabbers for the government and employers....

lol did you read the entire thing pancha it said : Illegal immigrants may not actually collect Social Security, but I would be willing to bet that more money is spent covering their health care needs and educating their children than they pay in Social Security and other taxes.
