Are you purposely trying to start a disinformation campaign? It was the Republicans who used the machines in Ohio (and other places0 to rig the last election. Republican backer Debold who made the machines "guaranteed Ohio" and was proud and bragging about it afterward. It was the machines in Florida in 2000 that registered votes for Bush when some people voted for Gore (in the precincts that had some of the first Debold machines). These are not my opinions by the way, these are facts stated by independent studies and the General Accounting Office. Here is a link that will help you and others to begin to understand.
Just remember, Anyone who is affiliated to ANY political party who does not put America first as intended by the Founding Fathers is not to be trusted. That includes Bush to Hillary to everyone in between.

The fact is that the Republicans rigged the machines and fixed the outcome by requiring and then denying valid provisional ballots. Another typical right wing cry of wolf .... when you cant win by right and righteous means you lie and try to feed on people's' fear.... disgusting..... but then You probably think that Abramoff is innocent ... and that limbaugh isn't a druggie and that GWB is hero for not showing up for duty as ordered the family values champion Newt didn't divorce his dying wife and then refused to pay the court-ordered support....
The Republican Party - the party of HYPOCRISY !!!!

I still do not understand why they can't make a voting machine that works like a gas pump! You get your gas and it prints out a receipt, how much you got and what kind. Why can't we have voting machines like that! You get your receipt that shows you exactly who you voted for. Then all of the complainers can't say they didn't know they pushed the wrong button, hanging chads, etc. You got your receipt, you saw who you actually voted for, and you can take your receipt to a poll worker if there is a problem and change your vote before you leave the premises.

Funny how people are still so uptight about the 2000 and 2004 election. I've seen quite a few rants here tonight...
If the Dems somehow get lucky in 2008, I'm sure many of them will be the first to defend the voting system...

This sounds like another paid puppet to me.
Actually, the largest supplies of voting machines in this country are Republican owned companies with ties to the White House.

to the person who first answered that question, we did not cheat. You lost, Al gore was the one who wanted a recount, so get over it.
In answer to the question, I odn't think that with national security being as strict as it is that they'll be able to pull it off. You're begging the question. You're assuming they're smart enough to pull off something like that, outsmarting the Republicans and all. Joking. No offense to the Democrats out there. really, just joking,

Okay, get rid of the machines. But who's going to monitor the morons counting the votes? And who's going to monitor them?
