My fiance is seriously considering joining Special Forces (he is currently on a mission with them). I don't want to have any disillusions about what life will be like married to a Green Barret. I want to make sure I am making a wise decision about whether or not it is something I could handle. If you are a wife or know of what family life is like for a Special Forces family please let me know. Thanks

Is having blind loyalty to your Government, the same as being patriotic to your Nation?

Six years in submarines, one national defense metal, a History degree and a Philosophy minor.
Not as much service as some, but I’ve done my share.

I've always understood the light and true essence of freemasonry is earned, and through such understanding one is rewarded with knowledge and influential wisdom. I've read many books of the history and practices of the masons, I even wrote a letter to one of the local lodges. I have had no success. What do I do? I am 19 years old and I feel that I have much to offer.

I had a misdemeanor offense 7 years ago and I had the records closed with the courts. I just got a job and they finger printed me for a background check. Will they be able to pull my records even if I had the records closed?

With money, people are going poor, and living in streets. That is telling us that money is bad. But witout money, you would go to a grocery store and just take the food, and there would be a food shortage, and people would starve and riot. Money causes problems, but if there was no money, people wouldn't work, and if people didn't work, no one could make cars anymore, or process food to buy, or invent new medicines to make the world a better place? Is money good or bad?

It should be front page news. When we didn't find WMD's initially in Iraq, it was broadcast over every major media outlet. "Bush is a liar" was everywhere. Now that we have found some WMD's, I was hard pressed to find any major network news even saying a peep about it save one. Why?

Also, why am I hearing that these WMD's aren't the ones we went to war for? U.N. Security Council Resolution 1441 required ALL WMD's be disclosed by Iraq and they obviously didn't. Is "Bush bashing" getting in the way of competent and intelligent thought?

What people have to realize is that we are at war with a group of people that hate our way of life, not just our government. Just ask anyone that was living in Afganhistan when the Taliban were in power. Could you imagine not being able to listen to music or shave? Even if we got rid of Bush and put someone else in office, they would still want to kill ALL of us.

Please give me your thoughts.

They guy seems like a living saint to me and yet he constantly does low in the polls. Even among Republicans. Just the fact that he came out of all those years as a POW and was not a dribbling idiot amazes me. Is there some weird side of him I'm not seeing?

Of course, (surprise, suprise) the Republicans were just "exagerating" again.

From the article: "One of the report's key findings was that since the invasion of Iraq in 2003, coalition forces have recovered about 500 shells, canisters or other munitions that contain degraded mustard gas or sarin nerve agent."

"The intelligence officials also said that the munitions referred to in the report were produced before the Persian Gulf War in 1991 and that they had degraded and could not be used as designed. "There is no evidence today of any post-1991 WMD munitions," said the official, who agreed to speak with reporters only if his identity and his agency were not disclosed."
