I think some major changes need to happen if we are not going to crash and burn, and those changes just are not going to occur fast enough to save us.

I believe we are ultimately headed towards a political backlash against internationalism and globalization of trade. Whether all out isolation occurs or not, there will be protectionist measures put into effect within the next 10 years. Militarily, we will become non-interventionist in the short term due to world scrutiny. Socially, we are heading deeper and deeper into the society of irresponsibility and governance. Also, there is now a tendency towards fascist economic policys. Should this not be stopped, we're in real trouble.

i think that America is going to either go through a more fascist period then go into a revolution. with all the morons and fascists that get into office, I'm surprised it hasn't happened already. I'm sorry to say this, but our mother land has become corrupt.

of course, it could go another way. we could start to smarten/wise up and elect and vote for people who should be running this country. THUS, saving America from corruption. But considering that most of the people of the new (and possibly the next) generation are about as intelligent as a carrot's uncle's brother's coach's former-roommate, the first possibility is more likely one.

either those, or we'll blow ourselves up with our own A-bombs and H-bombs.

It will be just fine. Our government is very resilient and able to endure hard times, MUCH harder than right now. If a Civil War, two World Wars, a depression and 9/11 couldn't destroy us, minor politcal squabblings won't.

I think it has reached its peak and is headed downhill. When the people begin to forsake God and live immoral lifestyles, you know that the country is headed down.
