I have 2 of those standard size wire cages and I was wondering if there was a way you could connect the two. I tried lifting up one side on each and tieing them together, but Mister (my djungie dwarf hamster) slipped out! Do I have to apply a hole and put a tube in it?

I was trying to hold my hamster so I put my hand at the bottom of the tank. He came over and nipped my hand and then licked it a little. Is that his way of saying hello?
Lol.

Is it ok to keep two sow female guiena pigs together. One short haired and one long haired?

How can I convince my dad that they don't smell terrible?

Do you think Kinkos, Home Depot, or Michaels carries Coroplast?

Other than that I have no other questions. But I do want to know if my plan is good.

I'm going to make a C & C cage (2 x 4) for two guinea pigs. One short one Long haired (Maybe.) Giving Baths to them when they get anything in their fur. I'm going to use EverFRESH bedding. Water bottle and a ceramic food dish. Pellets, vegetables, maybe vitamin C CHEWABLE tablets. An Unlimited Supply of Timothy Hay.I'm going to make a cozy with a cat bed for them. I will change the bedding every week. I think that's about it. If there is anything else I need to know about Guinea Pigs, please tell me. I want to show my dad that I'm responsible.

I have a male rat, albino, about 4-5 months old. He is normally very sweet and docile and comes when called, however for about 10 minutes today he ran around, his movemets violent and jerky, chewing on things, and giving me light quick nips whenever I tried to catch him. He normally sticks to me and shows me complete devotion and love, so you can see how this is odd.

Then, he proceeded in licking and suckling on his genitals in a non-grooming way-autoeroticising (pleasuring himself). Afterwards, he had returned to his loving docile self. I am not bothered by him pleasuring himself, but could it be that he was only acting violent because he was feeling aroused? And is it normal for male rats to pleasure themselves?

Please don't answer unless you will act maturely.

Thanks :)

i wanted a skunk
but there hard to look after.
so my mum told me to get a boring pet.
so i thought a Gerbil or a Chipmunk.
There both gorgeous but chipmunks are more expensive and need bigger cages.
Every time i see chipmunks i fall in love with them.

CHIPMUNK OR GERBIL??

I have 2 dwarf rabbits and before the boy was desexed he used to nibble the girl and then hump her now he doesn't hump her but just nibbles at her. It's not really a bite- he just burrows into her skin and nibbles at it but it's hurting her and she doesn't defend herself even though she's actually bigger than the boy and now she has bits of visible skin where he's continuously nibbled at her.

I don't think it's grooming because she grooms him but she licks him when she does it. And he is very insistent on nibbling her.

She's recently started to make a whining noise when he does it to her.
I've tried firmly telling him no and pushing him away but he just comes back and does it again.

At the moment I'm removing him from the cage each time he does it and putting him in his carrier but no such luck yet- I'll try it for a couple more days.

I'm also thinking about squirting him with water each time he does it.
Any other ideas?
