Honestly you just need to clean the cage more often. We had a single male mouse and could never go more than a week without cleaning his cage because he smelled so terrible. That was just with ONE. It sounds to me like you need to clean the cage daily. And please do NOT use cedar shavings like one person suggested, that can be harmful to their lungs - cedar and pine are bad for them. Aspen or hardwood are better. There is also "Carefresh" bedding out there that is supposed to help, you can get it at pet stores, it's a little more expensive though. Really though, leaving a smelly cage for them is just as bad as using the pine or cedar wood chips because since they're so small, their lungs will be affected more than ours. You should change the bedding daily and wipe out the cage once a week, which also means cleaning the exercise wheel, food dish, housing (superpet igloo, wood box, whatever you use).

Do NOT use cedar shavings. I see it's been mentioned a couple times here - it will cause them respiratory problems. Cedar and pine are a no go for mice, rats and rabbits.
Now that that's out of the way - it's also been said a lot, cleaning the cage more often. With 10, it really probably would be best once a day or every other day. I would recommend cleaning the full cage every time you change litter/food, also (wiping down with a wet cloth, not HARDCORE cleaning).
I don't know how much I would recommend the cat litter idea, either, as if they happened to swallow a peice or two of that - it'll mess with their digestive system something fierce. I know they said under the shavings but mice are burrowers - so they'll get to it.
Good luck :). They certainly are the stinkiest rodents I've ever owned.

First thing I would do is clean the cage and let it dry.
Second, I would give them a bath in warm water with Johnson's baby shampoo and a toothbrush with the word mice written on it so nobody will use it on accident.
Third, check with a pet shop and see if there is any kind of stuff for rodents that will kill lice or mites.
Fourth, have the bedding made of cedar and sprinkle some baking powder in there.

Yes they do smell terrible, as cute as they are!
You could get a $400 dollar ionizing air purifier to put in the room; that would probably do it.
Or, get the best litter you can that has odor-fighting properties, and change it often.
If you have a rosemary bush, you could try using sprigs of rosemary as bedding; it's a great deodorant and healthy to eat too.

We used to breed mice but finaly the stench got so bad we had to put them in the garage with a heat lamp. You can use a fan but with 10 mice i dont know how well it would help.
Ps: Mice ROCK!
