I know hamsters are nocturnal animals. My hamster sleeps all day until 8pm almost, but sometimes he still takes like 30 mins naps at night, around 3a.m. Is this healthy that he still naps at night even though hes been sleeping all day? Or is he sick maybe?

My friend's pet owner, is worry because by accident somebody step on her rat's tail, so it lost his tail's skin, she put some cream in order to avoid what it was left to get infected. But today another person that is owner of a rat pet too, said that it has to be amputated (whatever it was left of the tail).
Is that true, or if by now the rat is healing will be ok?

1. What is a nice shamoo for guinea pigs? I don't use Johnson's becuase it was not meant for guinea pigs and before testing it on humans they tested it on animals so what is another? I currently use PET SENSATIONS Sun ripened rasberries :)

My hammie is missing. We already put the food and water out for her yesterday. We know she at the back at the house thats where all the poop is. We even put food outside in the garden incase she slipped through the door. Why didnt she come out last night????? Is she stuck somewhere??? Is she scared??? Or did we not hear her get the food. My dad keeps putting up tons of rat poison and tons of glue traps all over my house. He does not respect the fact that I am a vegetarian and I am obviously against all of that. I put vegetable oil on the glue traps but I can't keep putting oil over and over again since my parents will eventually find out. How do I stop the rat poison problem and what do I do about the glue traps? I really love mice and I really want to help them! Please help! :(

ok, so i have 5 rats.
Jack, Shyloh, Oreo, Tucker, and then another one that i haven't named yet (the name options, if you wanna help me out on that too, are Remy--like from "Ratatouille"--, Mocha, and Milano--the brand of cookie. coz he kinda looks like a cookie. he's a brown dumbo rat with white paws and a white patchy/speckled belly.)
Anyways, so like whenever i stick my hand into their cage, or even go near their cage, they start making this funny noise, like they're chewing on something. They're not scared of me, coz they all run up to the cage door when they see me, and all try and pile onto my hand at the same time. and they do play with me and let me hold them. so i don't think it's a fear thing. they also continue to do this as a i pet them.
what does it mean?
also, my rats lick me ALL the time, ALL over. is that because i taste yummy (lol), or are they giving me ratty kisses?
