If the hutch is like a rabbit hutch and completely closed in and if you live in an area with a temperate climate they can. You should be sure there is a roof over the whole hutch because they can be prey for some large birds. Also, they do not fair well in cold weather so you may need to bring them in if it is too cold.

Yes Guinea Pigs can live outside but why not consider having them inside, if you keep on top of cleaning them out they are great creatures. I have 13 that live indoors.

If you are having them outdoors make sure they have plenty of bedding such as hay to keep them warm during the night or even a mixture of hay and fleeces, cardboard boxes etc.
I would recommend you also get a cover to keep the drafts out too!

Well, it is okay for them to be outside in the shade for a few hours in the day when its about 70 degrees F to 80 degrees F. You have to supply them with lots of cold water though. Basically, during the summer it is fine to keep guinea pigs in the shade with an enclosed space where no animal have a snack on one of your babies for a few hours every day. However, now that is supposed to be getting cooler, the guinea pigs should stay inside.

I know people who have done this but it greatly reduces their lifespan. I know a person who kept their gp outside and it died when it was only two years old. On the other hand my last guinea pig lived in my porch near a heater and lived to be eight. My current guinea pig does the same and she's four and going strong!
Hope this helps

No. Guinea pigs need solid flooring. Wire floors will severely injure their feet. They also suffer from heat and cold. Keep them inside.

I guess it depends because then it would run free outside and you might lose it.

IDK, but to be on the safe side, go to a pet-store and ask or something. You wouldnt want anything to happen to your piggies.
