I've had him for two years, I bought him when he was 8 weeks old. He pretty much trusts me, I guess. He doesn't run away from me or anything, and he trusts me enough to eat from my hand. He never licks me though, so I think he doesn't like me very much. He won't ever let anyone pick him up. Why??

there's been a wild raccoon coming to my yard for the last week. well, he's not really wild, in fact, he seems quite tame. he comes almost right up to me when i have food for him. i know they're usually pretty clean animals, but he seems to have lots of foamy stuff around his mouth and i was wondering how i could clean that up for him without stressing him out. do you think he'll let me hold him and wash him? he's actually on my porch again lol. i'm gonna try to catch him - brb

i am 15 years old and am allowed to get a small pet. i have a few problems though. hamsters can be pretty mean, gerbils don't like to be held, ferrets are too stinky, ( but i love them to DEATH!), mice aren't as mellow as i'd like, and my mom HATES rats( these are all from experience). the only cheap choice left is a guinea pig. i need at least 50 people's Experience with guinea pigs. pros, cons, and any other info i should know. i am getting one for my birthday on Nov. 26, so i need to know soon. my mom thinks they're adorable so i need to seize the opportunity. please give me ALL the info you have from EXPERIENCE. no guessers please. thanks

So things have happend this weekend. Friday I discovered a massive tumor on my baby and we brought her to the vet to be put down Sunday. Then we ended up getting these adorable four and six week old babies that are getting along great with my two year old rat. They are from a pet shop that breeds rats at the place and I got to meet the babies sweet parents. I chose these two from different litters because they were the best. The babies are really well adjusted and have gone on to my hand willingly and are very healthy and courios. The only problem is that they nip a lot. The older rat nips but she is not as friendly. How can I get them to stop nipping?

My female chipmunks keep fighting, 1 has lost both her ears and the other has nearly lost both ears has a wound on the back of the head, under her cheek and just above the tail. I have seperated the females but I was just wondering if anyone knows why they are fighting? They are from the same litter.

I feed them nothing but veggies and regular rat food, but they seem to be gaining too much weight. They have a large enough cage to run around in(3 stories). I'm not sure what to do about it, because I don't want them to be unhealthy. They are too long to fit in any exercise wheels sold in the stores near us, and the only ones that are big enough, are TOO big and owuldn't even fit in the cage. Is there anyting else I can do besides letting them run around on the bathroom floor for more room?

well we had 2, one was 6 and one is 1 and a half. We kept them separate because the older one didn’t like the younger one. The 6 year old just died yesterday, it was pretty devastating even though she was a small animal. I’ve had her since I was in the 4th grade, now in 10th. She wasn’t eating or drinking or peeing or anything, the one time she did pee, it came out with blood. This was 2 days ago, so we took her to the vet and they said she had a cancerous lump on her ovary the size of an egg. We wanted to do whatever we could to save her so they took a urine sample to see if she had a bladder infection because her bladder was enormous apparently and every time she got scared, she would run up to me. They shaved her and did an ultrasound and made sure that it wasn’t her kidneys or a bladder infection and since it was on her ovaries they said that they could spay her and remove it that way. We decided to do it and give her a chance because the vet said she would have 2 months or less
