mark the water level with a crayon to see if she is drinking. If it stays the same level in one day, go get her a water bottle like the one she had before. Don't wait more than a day because she'll dehydrate.

Just be sure your hamster's water is changed every day and that it comes out easily from the bottle. They usually drink the water after they eat and begin to chew the food in their cheeks. Also they drink water during the night.

The hamster will not shrivel up from dehyrdation with her mouth open and tongue hanging out. You have to wait and see because there's really no other way to tell. The water level reduction could be due to evaporation. If she lives and acts healthy, she's drinking. If she's keeled over and looking drawn, she's not drinking. Throw a little sugar in it to get her to associate the new bottle with good times.

It sounds like she mite not be getting enough water, try hooking the old system to the new cage. She may not understand how to drink from the new system. Hamsters are not the smartest of animals.

well, as long as she doesn't seem sick then don't worry. sehs adjusting, she'll get used to her new bottl eventually because she knows she will have to drink out of it. in the meantime, just watch and make sure she doesn't seem to be getting sick. give her fruits and veggies, which have a lot of water in them anyway, they will not substitiue for water but will be a great supplement for a while. she should be fed these treats anyway. also, you can check to see if she is dehydrated bypulling the skin on the back of her neck. if you pull it and it springs back she is fine. if it sags or isn't "bouncy" like, she may be dehydrated. and don' worry, she'll start drinking.

My hamster had an analogous issue! the least perplexing way is to place some pedialyte or some powdered electrolytes in an extremely small syringe and placed approximately 2 CC's into his cheek an afternoon. additionally, it fairly is advisable to purpose getting a sparkling water bottle it fairly is comparable to the single interior the puppy keep you bought him in.

If the water is not disappearing she is not getting enough water.......simple. Maybe its clogged, maybe she does not like it. You can go to the old bottle and see if she starts drinking again.

your hamster propably just feels worried about the new object. is your old one broken? if not place it with the other and it may start trying the other one.
if not try getting another one of the old one. if that is impossible, and you have binned/gotten rid of your own one, watch your hamsters behaviour, if it still isnt drinking you may want to check with a dentist just incase
