I have a guinea pig named Smores. When I'm holding her, she talks ( squeaks and makes chirruping noises). When I get lucky or give her a carrot while holding her, she purrs. I find that she talks more when I talk to her and pay her lots of attention. When I'm holding her at the same time as watching TV for example, she hardly makes any noises because I'm not talking to her.
