my mouse is'nt peeing on me but he seems to be leaving a trale of urin. is this normal?

No, it isn't typical...but it does happen. He's, most likely, not used to being held and is nervous...or marking. I've had mice on/off most of my life and currently have over 50 pet/show mice (many bucks), but I've only been peed on a few times and it's been nervous mice. Poo is a different story, that's happened several times. Lol.

ETA: I just read the question again, I misunderstood...it's late. He's leaving a trail of urine in general...anywhere? Is it a lot? Is it often or constant? Does he have any signs of illness...squinting, ruffled coat, labored breathing, loose stool, etc? Is he eating/drinking normally? I still tend to think nothing is wrong, but if it's excessive...something is going on. Most of mine just back up and go, but at times it's more of a dribble (especially the few times I've been peed on). It's difficult to say, because they normally pee in the cage/tank and the bedding hides it well.

Yes. Mice pee ALL THE TIME. That is why no one wants them as pests in their house. It is pretty gross, but normal.

Yes,they do pee all the time.Make him a tiny diaper,LOL! What about oats?
