She was always the more healthier eater out of my two dragons but in the last week she has dropped down to only eating 1 cricket a day if that. It is getting cold where I live so I was wondering if she could be going into some sort of hybernation. My male is still eating his normal portions so I am probably wrong is saying that. Also I thought maybe she is getting ready to mate??? Honestly I really don't know so please help!

I have a lizard that I caught outside on my window screen about 2 weeks ago [and I named him Borris haha] and he doesn't look so hot. At first, he was about at long as my pointer finger and now he's only half the size. I've given him crickets, but they've died in his tank and he hasn't eaten anything since I've got him. Now, crickets just have to be bigger than him. Also, I have a heat lamp and everything for him, but it's been getting as cold as 45 degrees outside and he's been looking about dead. A minute ago, he looked totally dead and i put him on my desk and he wasn't even breathing and then he ran across it really fast, but I caught him... So do lizards hibernate in this time of the year or is this something I should know about and possibly let him go? Also, since crickets are too big, what should I feed him?

I have a fire bellied toad and feed him crikets, his tank is set up 1/3 dry land and the rest water with a few floaty things for him to climb. The recomended diet is crikets and I put a few on the dry land every few days and atleast half of them drown in the water. Any ideas to stop them from jumping in the water? The dry land is made from sloping gravel built over a clay pot with some moss.

I want a small pet and I find little itty-bitty tiny-teeny turtles to be very cute. But do they require a lot of care? I'm gone most of the day.

Just curious...
I am thinking no because it wraps it's body around it's prey and suffocates it. Other snakes just ingect venom into the prey.
THANX!!!

I need help choosing a filter for my 3 red eared sliders. Thery are in a 30G tank and are about 1.5-2 inches . I have read that there are three types of filtration that they need(mechanical, chemical, biological) What is a good filter to use or combination of filters that will cover all these areas. Please be as specific as possible. Thanks!

My father accidently ran over a Brown Anole Lizard with a lawn mowers. His back left leg has grass stuck to it and is bloody, it is also hanging uselessly. His tail is hurt too, but I know it will grow back. If my mom lets me keep him, what do I keep him in, what do I feed him, and how do I give him water?

Okay so I have three red eared sliders. One of them is having problems. He has a black sack coming out of his anus and it is pretty big(.5 in). I have heard this may be a prolapse which is very serious but he has had this for many months now and seems to be fine other than that. He is just as active as the other ones and he still eats. I want to know:
1. if this is a prolapse how much does the surgery cost
2. is he in pain(should he be put to sleep if I can't afford the surgery)
3.is in normal that a turtle will survive this long with a prolapse or could it be a crazy tail deformity?
I need advice as much as you can give .
Please help,I love this little guy.

She's not moving, her eyes are slightly closed, her head legs and arms are sticking out. When you touch her she doesn't move at all.
