There is no such thing as a crocodile snapping turtle. There IS however an alligator snapping turtle... You'll need the following:
-A TON of room. They get very large and need a large, secure area to thrive.
-A LOT of money... For the enclosure, a proper diet, massive filtration systems etc... They are VERY expensive to house properly.
-A lot of experience. They are very dangerous when full grown, and are not for beginners.
In short, they are NOT meant to be household pets. They may start out tiny and cute, but once they grow up (if you can keep one alive and healthy for that long) they are best left only to experienced keepers with large facilities. Also, depending on where you live they may be illegal to keep. I know they are protected in my state (IL) at least...

I just happen to own a common snapping turtle. Yes Alligator snappers will get quite big really fast. So a LARGE tub or stalk tank will be best to keep it in. Or if you have a pool you are not using.....just don't add all of the chlorine and other chemicals. They eat a vast verity of things from fruit to carrion. Do pay close attention to your fingers and even hands when it gets bigger. The web site below will help you answer any other questions you may have. It is to a snapping turtle forum I am a member there and it has helped me greatly.

Nice one. Get a pet that you have no idea how to take care of. Snake_Girl is right. They get huge.
Good luck trying to take care of an animal than can literally bite off a few of your fingers in one bite.
