There is no species called a 'tarpin'. If you mean 'terrapin', you are talking about a group of turtles- again, not a speciific species.

Most terrapins eat a variety of good quality turtle pellets, live or frozen/thawed fish food like worms, small fish, or crustaceans, etc.

some will only eat shrip if they are wild cought... others do fine on a diet of turtle pellets..... some live foods should also be offered such as superworms, meal worms, silk worms, crickets, and snails..
