Three days ago I adopted two one year old sugar gliders, a male and a female. The girl I got them from said she didn't have enough time. I think that she didn't take care of them at all, because when I got them, the cage was filthy and they stunk to high heavens! I've been working with them everyday and they are still skittish and act like they weren't bonded with before. They are eating apples out of my hand but still will not let me touch them or try and pick them up. I have tried to get them out of their pouch when they are sleeping so that I can carry them around in a bonding pouch, but they always wake up and start crabbing at me. They bite me a lot and overall just act like they have never seen a human before. How can I bond with adult suggies that have never been bonded with before or simply ignored? How long with they continue to bite me and be scared of me? Should I try bonding with them one at a time? How can I earn their trust when someone never paid to them before? Thanks!!

Went to the barn this morning and noticed little drops of blood on the floor. Looked at my horse and he seemed to have a "runny" nose, but it looked like blood. Is this normal???? Should I wait to see if it happens again? Should I get the vet there ASAP??? Help!

Viruses change and manipulate the environment they live in to suit themselves, rather than adapting to it. Only one other spiecies of animal does this to the same extent.
What is it?

I work about 7 hours a day and live alone! I want a new pet but dont know what to get! Many say dogs or cats! I have two pet turtles that are really cool but I want a new pet like a dog or cat! Something friendly and fun but able to live by itself for at least half a day! I travel back to my country at least twice a year so it needs to be a pet that wont forget me easily when it stays with friends of mine!

Ok i just bought a new microwave so i set it down on the floor and put in a supernoodle 2 test it. Leaving the door open i went 2 read the instructions. When i came back i closed the door and set it 4 four mins as the instructions stated. The thing is snuffles my rabbit musta climbed in there when i was away coz when i opened the door he fell out. He seems ok now, i am amazed to report, coz on that film "snakes on a plane" that snake blew up in like 10 seconds. I cooled him down in the bath and hes hoppin around now. He doesnt seem to hungry and was sick about 5 mins ago. The inscident occured about 25 mins ago. Will he be ok? P.S do u think its safe 2 eat the noodles if i reheat them?

He is 4yrs old was started last summer and partly backed, he will sometimes allow us to mount him completely but if you get on his back he will buck for england. He got away with bucking people off with his previous owners and they were to worried to re mount him, so now as soon as you are on him he bucks you off. Any ideas plz.

Without completely destroying it, I mean. What would be a feasible distance to ride a horse, so that it would be rested and in a fit state to continue a similar distance the following day, and again after that. (Same goes for the rider, I guess!)

There is more mucue coming from their eyes than there used to be and now it has spread to one of the older cats who looks like he has sticky paws I'm thinking from rubbing his eyes. They do not appear pink, and the matted places around the eyes are dark but that could be dirt. Got both the dogs and cats. Help please? Don't want to take them back to the vets where they might get something else.

Do you think animals can feel sad and happy? If they have feelings, then isn't it wrong to hurt them and kill them?

2007-02-05 19:08:18 · 18 answers · asked by . 1

I have read about them being able to run around the house, and them loving to lay with you, the noises they make. I have had her for three months now, got her as a baby, and when my boyfriend left out to sea, I can't seem to make her happy. I want her to have fun, and be happy. Any hints would be amazing. I know she likes the bells, she plays with hers all the time. Thanks

Chinchillas, degus, gerbils, guinea pigs, hamsters, jirds, mice, rats....

What type of rodent (from my alphabetical list or otherwise) is your favorite for a pet, and why do you feel that way?

I *love* rodents in general (always have), but there is one type that I prefer above the others. I'm not going to reveal it yet, because I don't want to unfairly influence anyone's answers. :)
