I am mostly asking for an easy way to measure my thoroughbred for a western saddle that fits, but also, a site i found, saddleonline.com, has nice looking saddles, but it is unbelievably low priced. I'm not sure what to think about it.
als, what are some tips for teaching horses to jump? My horse loves western but is also a natural jumper. He has days when he jumps anything, but he gets bored with jumping very quickly. what should i do to keep him interested?
I appreciate any help with these questions and just to clarify, i am NOT new with horses. only new to western and I'm not exactly sure how to train jumping.

Do buyers care that we have pets? Should we mention that we will have the carpets cleaned upon closing? We have 2 sweet indoor cats. We clean their litter boxes daily. And Febreeze too.

Should we hide them when we show the house or just not worry?

My black gerbil, lives with his brother, a white gerbil, and the black one (Peanut) madly digs!! here's what i know of gerbil digging so far:
1. digging on the glass - instinct to dig when they reach a dead end
2. digging - they naturally dig burrows
BUT tater, my white gerbil, doesn't barely ever dig, he's more the chewer in the relationship, but Peanut runs around digging for no purpose for hours. and he runs up to the glass and starts digging, so i don't think he thinks he's at a dead end.
SO is it normal for Peanut to run around digging at random places, bcuz he's not accomplishing anything when he does, and usually gerbils have a reason, such as tunneling, but Peanut like i said randomly does it. is he frustrated or being a happy gerbil, bcuz he looks hypnotized, lol!! also why isn't Tater doing it?

thanks, anything will help, and no rude comments please!!

It's me again....Ok I've decided to get 2 baby poms, Now I want to choose what gender would be better. It would be nice to have 2 girls because of the fact that GIRLS RULE lol, but someone also posted that the Girls are easier to train, is that true? And another person also stated that it would be better for a BOy/Girl to be purchased so it won't be territory battles. So can you help me decide? What are the pros and cons of having: BOY/BOY, BOY/GIRL & GIRL/GIRL, and no I don't plan to breed them.

I recently adopted a dog who is 6 yrs of age and in his profile is said that he liked all cats, which was fantastic as i am a cat lover and i own one, but when we brought him home it was another story, he wants to eat the cat.
i have tried putting them in seperate rooms to get use to the smell of each other, holding the cat while the dog run around and vice versa, giving them both as much attention as the other, and i have run out of ideas.
Do i have any chance of getting them to get along?
I love them both and am not prepared to rehome either of them, but our house is like a circus, as both of them have been inside pets all their life, it's a constant rotating of shifts ie: the dog inside one night then the cat the next, will i have to do this forever?

I just bought a 2 month old female rat. I've been told that I should give her a bath once a week. She seems really clean and I've also heard that it could kill them.

Is it ok to bathe her? If so what soap do I use? should I use water?

If anyone doubted that Peta does this... read this article in the North Country Times (Nctimes.com) from California. http://www.nctimes.com/articles/2007/02/02/backpage/2_1_0714_08_02.txt

You will need to scroll down to about 1/3 on the page.

PLease help me if you can! I got my rabbit max a few weeks ago from a coworker who had not cared for him properly. He has the same root problem with his molars as shown in the malocussion xrays- beginning to force a fracture in the lower jaw and the beginnings of abcess, as well as excessive tearing oin one eye bc of pressure. Currently he is on pain med. I took him to the vet to have the teeth filed and the above is what was revealed by the xray. My Dr did not feel comfortable going on with the molar filing and said he probly wouldnt live much longer. I love my Dr, but want to be sure I've covered all options- he didnt feel good about a dental extraction on all the molars that would need to be pulled, and while knew of other drs, didnt think he would make it long after surgery (if he made it through at all)

Cost is somehwhat of an issue, but I am willing to do my best to help him. He is a good cuddle bunny and still has lots of energy and likes to play. If i have options other than pain meds until euthansia time.....PLEASE PLEASE help me in the right direction! I live in High Point NC and am heartbroken and wondering if I'm doing the right thing by planning his future euthanasia. Thanks for your time.

my pony has started chewing and biting at his heels, he had long feathers before i shaved them off, there is no signs of mud fever and no sign from what i can see of mites, the skin looks pinkish where he has been chewing, he was stamping the ground with the affected legs and looks very down and fed up with it all
