a have worked with camels and cows. a camel is like training a horse, plus richer in milk and better quailty meat( yes people eat them). cows are easier to train, not spooky, and do produce milk and meat. just depends on what u are using them for, riding or milk/meat?

and by the way, camels do not store water in their hump(s). the store fat in the hump. and both the cow and a camel can go long distance without water but a camel can go longer because of the fat in their hump. they use the fat for energy

While both vehicles are four wheel drive, a Camel has a limited slip differential, and as such is better suited for rough terrain.

A Cow is more of a road going "Chelsea tractor" for taking the kids to school.

I think that if you want to travel, especially in desert areas, go with the camel. They can go incredible distances without drinking anything, but if you want to stay in a more habitual area, cows just might be the way to go.

Camel milk is thicker and richer that most. It will keep ones liver from failure in the desert, and some Arabain foals are raised on it and do better through life than others who were raised on their dams milk.
