There is more mucue coming from their eyes than there used to be and now it has spread to one of the older cats who looks like he has sticky paws I'm thinking from rubbing his eyes. They do not appear pink, and the matted places around the eyes are dark but that could be dirt. Got both the dogs and cats. Help please? Don't want to take them back to the vets where they might get something else.

You'll have to take them back to the Vet's! No one on here can diagnose what it is. Please take them back and get medications for them. The sooner you do, the sooner you'll get them well. If they go outside, they could have picked up something out there.

Your animals need an antibiotic eye cream that can only be prescribed by a vet. It is unlikely that they picked this up at the vet's office. They all need to go in and have their eyes examined. If you don't take them, you may permanently damage their vision.
