Sorry, I have never tried it..I try to stay away from the business end of bull or goat..Well, the big horn sheep I used to raise had VERY hard heads! the ground would shake when they fought. I am sure they had harder heads than our goats..I ended up on the wrong end of them now n then.

I have never and would never try out your bat question, however I do have a billy goat that stands about 4foot at his shoulder and a Young bull who is about 2.5 years old. About 3 months ago we had the goat tethered out in the paddock to eat down some weeds and the bull brought his cows past and the 2 of them got into a fight. It was an awesome thing to see and pretty bloody terrifying when you are the one who has to try and put an end to it.
Anyway the bull is polled (no hornes) while the goat has a decent set on his head and although the bull as bigger believe it or not the goat seemed to have the upper hand.
So in answer to your question I would have to say the Goat.

A bull's horn's and head is designed to gore and lock onto an opponent. The rams head on the other hand has a specially thickened skull. The brain is also held in place and cushioned by special fluid lining that absorbes the impacts made when the rams butt heads during the mating season. Bulls are larger and stronger animals but for sheer impact to the head, NO animal can beat the goat. Extreme examples found in mountain goats and bighorn sheep illustrates this example perfectly. The goats win hands down.

Well, if you are holding the bat you had better be hoping and praying that it is not a bull, or we will see how hard your head is. I wish I had a nickel for everytime this question has come up. It really gets my goat, and that is no bull.
