I have a 10 gallon tank with a gourami and 3 cory cats. What other fish could I add in? I was thinking of adding another gourami and 3 zebra danios or more. Give me some ideas please.

If you own some, and bred them, I had a sea monkey thats pregnant. Ever since the eggs came out I saw pink stuff at the top of the tank. Is that the eggs or is that a problem

If you dont know what seamonkeys r just go to this site >>>> http://www.sea-monkey.com/html/aboutsm/whatarethey.html
or if its not blue and underlined, copy and paste the site in the adress box.

Ok, so I have 8 coment goldfish in my fish tank. I only had the fish for 2 days. The fish tank weighs up to 10 gallons of water. And the water has been getting cloudy, but I can still see the fish. I haven't been adding anything in the fish tank ,but fish food. Like no chlorine or anything. When I got them I just add the water and a filter and thats it. So I went to PetsMart. And I asked what I should use. They Told me to use (TOP FIN) Bacteria Supplement to help boost for your aquarium *Reduces Fish Loss Treats 60 gallons 2 fl oz (59 mL). The guy told me to use it once a week. And I used it yesterday (7/9/07) and i woke up today and the water is still cloudy. Can anyone help?

I have been looking all over the internet, to see which ones are safe to use.
And all I keep finding is conflicting infomation.
I have to be extra carefull as I have a lot of snails and I don't want to mess with ph too much(as this causes shell erosion). Nor can they have metal in them.

so if you do answer please could you state where you got your info from (so I can see if it's a web page i have already read)
or if you use crystals in your own fishtank and how long you have used them in there (then I know it's tried and tested).

thank you very much for your help.

p.s i know i normally let the you guys choose the best answer, but this is a bit more serious so I will choose this time.

Hi all! I asked a question before regarding the fish I had wanted to put in, but that was shot down. LoL. I was set on goldfish, and was told NO NO NO! hahaha. So I would JUST LOVE to hear some of you give me some lists of quantities and types that you would house in a 55 gallon. I am interested in COLORFUL arrays and varieties of fish and diversity as well. Nothing boring for this tank...hee hee. And if you can bare a few more details on cycling, feeding, and care because this tank is set up and ready but empty...and I am new at this ;) Thanks!! Muah

Ok. Hey there guys and gals. I recently got a 55 gallon fish tank with the works. I have all the equipment set up, just waiting for the water to get enough bacteria set before adding fish. Here's the thing. I am pretty much a novice on communities, so I basically would LOVE to hear some advice on what to get, what goes good together. I really want goldfish of a few varieties, would love to get about 5 Neon Tetra, a few zebra danios, and I also have my eye on a new fish discovered in 2004 which is a burmese border Botia, and I would like your opinions if these fish will all go together well. I am wondering if the goldfish will bother the zebra danios or the tetra. And what else can I add do you think? I would love a colorful and diverse variety. And also would love to know what the limit in amount of fish I should get with all the breeds I discussed earlier taken in consideration. Tell me what you think!! Thank you so much! Muah Muah! ;)

I got a new betta yesterday (His name is "Muu Beta" the first part of his name is pronounced "Moo") I purchased a 2 gallon tank with a small airstone filter that doesn't make much of a current, a flourescent light, mini heater, and a rock for him to hide in. The top has a small opening to let in air along the whole surface, but it is in a way that he can't hop out. Tomorrow he will be getting solf/silk fake plants so they won't damage his fins and Aquisol which will be put in his tank once a week as a preventative as it says on the bottle. I also have drops that make water immediately safe for Muu Beta. He has Hikari Bio-Gold pellets and Top Fin Bloodworms and is fed 3 pellets and one worm in the morning and the same before bed. His tank stays around 80 to 81 degrees. Have I forgotten anything? Recommendations? This is my first betta.

Also, what color plants would you recommend? Muu Beta has a teal shine on top of blue, purple, and red. His gravel is turquoise and his tank is black.

okay. technically it's my sisters fish, but I mostly take care of it. I heard somewhere that betta can't see their reflection or they'll get scared. is that true? also, the water in my bowl goes down pretty quickly. should i fill it more often? and i feed the betta pellets, two every other day. is that right? i hate when animals die, and i want this fish to live as long as possible. what do I do

oh and there are plants in the bowl. only two, because the person who sold it to us said they liked plants. thanks!!!

I would like to start my first saltwater aquarium and I would like some pointers and maybe some links to like "saltwater aquariums for dummys" type websites. I currently have a 10 gallon tank with a Whisper Power Filter, and new equipment isn't a problem. What kinds of fish and how many would safely fit in 10 gallons? And how do I go about setting one up in the first place?

Two days after we set up the fish tank the water went cloudy. A day or so later it went clear, then cloudy again. It's been cloudy ever sense. (It's been about 3 months.) I change the water and filter regularly and I add the aquarium salt, water conditioner, and tap water dechlorinator like it says on the package. Any ideas how to fix the problem?

My plants are amazon swordplants,Java fern and Java moss. But only the Amazon swordplants are dying. Sometimes I think I over pruned my plants. How do I actually prune the plants and keep them nice and tidy?I always seem to do a pretty bad job and the plants looks horrible after awhile.I have a CO2 diffuser, fertilizers with occasional dosing of liquid fertilizers and trace elements.Using 2 fluoroscent lamps with reflectors. The 2 tubes has been used for quite some time. There's always little particles floating in the water,i think my filter isn't up to the task anymore as I have what I believe a pretty heavily stock of fish in a 4ft tank. 2 adult and 2 baby angelfish,2 striped raphael catfish,4 bronze cory,4 panda cory,4 oto,2 wood shrimp,a few yamato,20 rummy nose and 20 cardinal tetras. Will be getting another filter,so that I have 2 running simultaneously.Temperature used to be quite high, until I removed the lid.

I have a small fish bowl without a filter. What are all the kinds of fish that can live in it? I know betta fish can live in it, but I don't want them. Gold fish can live without filters, but the amoena in their poop will kill them in such a small bowl. What besides a betta or goldfish can live in a small bowl without a filter, or heater, or anything? Thanks.

Kept moving the bowl because her cats wanted to eat it. Found one cat hovering a couple of times so we sat it on the toilet bowl in the bathroom during the day. Moved it out at night. Water was ok. Any ideas? Fear? Movement? Boy do we feel bad about this.
