Ok, please only answer this if you have "guppy experience" or really might know what's wrong... Too much at stake for wrong answers - sorry!

My female fancy guppy just gave birth three days ago to 30 fry (yea!). She is probably about a year or so old. Before she gave birth she had no signs of anything wrong or out of shape. Suddenly I noticed that her tail is kind of drooping when she is sitting still. When she swims its fine, she seems to be eating ok, and not really sitting still or going crazy around the tank. No others symptoms. Its like she's in a ( shape.

Could this be from having fry (I hope)? and something that will go away as she heals? I put a little medicine (all purpose that treats a bunch of stuff) in there but does anyone know whats up? or how I can find out more info? Please help, thanks!

My boyfriend and i have a male siamese fighter. Five days ago we introduced a female fighter intio the tank. The male was fine with her but in the past couple of days he is action a bit aggressive towards her, chasing her around the tank. He doesn't go looking for her its only if he sees her. Shall we take her back to the pet store or will his behaviour get better? Does anyone know please?

All of the fish that I have put in the tank with him have mysteriously "disappeared." I would hate to think he's eating them but I really have no other answer as to the other fishes whereabouts. I know they're not jumping out as there is a cover on the tank.

The goldfish is now about 3-inches long and is in a 5-gallon tank. The last fish that was in there with him was an 1.5-inch placo. And that's all I really want in there with my golfish but I'm scared to put another one in there with him.

What should I do?

I'm fine with him being in the tank alone but is that good for cleanliness purposes as I was under the impression that a placo was needed to "clean-up" behind the goldfish. I clean his tank (ie water and filter changes) every three weeks. Am I doing something wrong? Or is my goldfish simply a solitary creature?

I have this pet beta fish. I change it's water like once a week (that's what the pet store owner said), it's eating normally and he looks ok, BUT! Instead of staying horizontal, it sits up vertically instead...what can I do? Can he turn back to a normal fish again?

I have my own tetra aquarium that i first started with because people suggested it would be good for a starter.
I asked in this site what fish would be best in an aquarium and i would like to thank all of them who replied.
I am a newbie in fish care but i did my research on sites and i know not all of them are true so i am asking other people who takes care of fish.

What kinds of fish are in your aquarium? Tell what kind and how many.
how big is your aquarium?

thanks

I have had the tank for over a month now. The tank had a guppy and 2 corys in it for the first month and another guppy was just added. The water levels were great before adding the second guppy and with the bio-wheel I thought it would be ok to add the second guppy. I was wondering if a third guppy would be pushing it? I clean the tank every week including vacuuming the gravel and I also have an airstone for better aeration.

I got a 5 gallon tank for xmas. i've decided almost to get a dwarf puffer. i think they're cute, and sound like they wont' be too hard to take care of, just as difficult as other tropical fish, but i'm curious to see if anyone would get another one if they had the chance? i've done all the reading up on them, so i'm not really lookin for any websites, just personal experience. also, how long did/has yours lived??

I placed two jumbo shrimp in my tank this evening in a bag with holes in it and the top open so that I don't have to pick up tiny pieces of shrimp after. When should the shrimp be taken out of the tank? I know that you have to keep the ammonia a little bit above 0 once it starts to drop, so how will I do that if I am not dropping in pure ammonia?

My fish that died had lumpy bellies with red streaks going through them. Also on one I saw circular scars (on the same spot on the left and right side of the fish) that looked like entry points. That one also had raised scales before I killed it.
