Hi my name is Granladyrose, I have a 50 gallon tank and it has 4 large Silver Dollar fish in it, I've had them for about almost 3 years in February 2007. I have a 10 gallon tank with 2 Orange Platy in it I thought they both were females, but I guess not, mom dad and 3 babies I've had the mom and dad for about a year and one morning I noticed the tiny tiny babies swimming around. I have another 10 gallon tank with 2 small black and white fish in it and that mom has had 8 babies recently I am trying to identify the species of that fish now, I never knew what it was. And then in my third tank which is a 46 gallon tank I have 4 Bala Shark all about 3 inches long and 4 Nemo Clown Loach fish they are all about 2 inches long I've had that tank for about 3 yaers as well. I want one more tank a 100 gallon in my Family and friends room maybe some time this year.

A betta. you will no longer have the skill to in positive condition plenty greater. in case you stick to what has been a usually happening rule, you choose a gallon of water in keeping with inch of fish. the usually happening single guppy reaches 2.5 inches. So based on the rule of thumb, a 2 gallon tank may well be too small for him. Please do no longer attempt to place a golfish interior the tank. Goldfish choose extra area than the different fish in basic terms for the undeniable fact that they produce plenty ammonia. Goldfish require 2 gallons of water in keeping with each and every inch of fish. Bettas are relatively the only ones that are low maintenence and don't require alot of room, no longer to show a filter out.

I have a 10 gallon tank. In it I have a variety of goldfish. It's acctually pretty fun. Most people think that a goldfish tank is boring, but it's not at all. There are so many varieties of goldfish and they are some of the most challenging to take care of. It's something I can give special attention to and I like it.
I have:
2 feeder goldfish
1 Shubunkin
1 plecaustamus (I can't spell)
1 golden fantail
1 calico fantail
1 black moore
1 dojo loach

I have 4 fancy goldfish
1-6" red and white Ranchu
1-5" matt white/ lemon Ryukin
1-4.5" red/white jade seal oranda
1-4" red longfin Ryukin
They live happily in my 55 gallon
I have colored glass beads, marbles and black river rock as subtrate (no under gravel filter) Bare glass bottem. I let the green grow crazy (its good stuff)
I use a Bio-Wheel suited for 75 gallons (anthrocite carbon, ceramic bio-beads, and 100% Polyester fiber fill)
I run 2 large ceramic airstones with a fine bubble mist.
I keep the temperature 77 degrees year round.
Feed foods that contain no corn product 2 times a day.
I change 50% of the water every 3 weeks and 100% two times a year.
My fish are healthy and are like puppies and will eat right out of your hand.
Goldfish are intelligent (for fish), are beautifully colored and grow quite large. I love them so much.
Hey Misty Dawn you have WAY TOO many fish in there. A 10 Gallon only holds 1 goldfish.

I have three tanks right now. Two 55 gallons and a ten gallon. My ten gallon has 5 guppies that I use to breed for feeders. (Don't buy feeders from pet stores. They are the bottom of their profit margin, and have the diseases to show for it.) One of my 55's has three small green spotted puffers, two paradise fish, two small cory cats, five buenos aires tetras, a black coch. worm. and a pleco. My other 55 has a giant gourami, a small jack dempsey, a small long finned oscar, and a lepor. Soon I will be getting another 55 to move the oscar and lepor to.

My aquarium is 29 gallons. I have a pair of convict cichlids that I've had for nearly three years, and right now I've got 20 of their young offspring. I also have a 12" plecostamus that I've had for three years.
I used to have three aquariums. I kept all sorts of fish, platys, guppies, swordtails, mollys, gouramis, angelfish, loaches, corydoras, a banjo catfish, and a few other catfish whose names I have forgotten (one was silver with black spots and the other was cobalt blue with a silver belly). I think my favorites were my little dwarf african river frogs. I loved those little guys! We decided to downsize to one aquarium, though, and my husband wanted to keep the cichlids because they were so big.

A 30 GALLON WITH SOME FANCY MALE GUPPIES AND SOME TETRAS AS WELL.... A ALGAE EATER ON THE BOTTOM AND ONE 24 KARAT FISH... THATS THE ACTUAL NAME... DONT OVER CROWD THE FISH.. IT MAKES THE WATER OUT OF BALANCE AND KILLS ALL OF THEM IN THE END... GO TO PETSMART AND TALK TO ONE OF THE PEOPLE IN THE SPECIALTY DEPT... THEY WILL BE ABLE TO TELL YOU HOW MANY FISH YOU CAN HAVE AND WHAT KIND... TETRAS ARE AN EXCELLENT STARTER FISH... SO ARE GUPPIES AND DANIOS... BETTAS SHOULDNT BE TOGETHER WITH THE OTHER FISH SINCE THEY ARE VERY AGRESSIVE AND TERRITORIAL.. I TRIED BUT THE BETTA ENDED UP KILLING SOME OF MY GUPPIES AND RIPPING THEIR TAILS...

My aquarium is 37 gallons and I have two Bala sharks and one plec. Bala's are very friendly and live a longtime with proper care and the Plecostomus helps keep the aquarium clean. you will get lots of advice, the best thing is go buy a good book on creating a good aquarium environment and a healthy one. Good luck
