Right now i have a Fantail Goldfish and I have been playing a lot of Fish tycoon lol (loser) and in the game u crossbread different kinds of fish.
So i was think i should do that.
So I was wondering can i have a Peralscale mate with my Fantail??
If not why?

I am not to familiar with freshwater tanks since I mostly do salt, but I looked into our 55 gal. and saw a thin white line with small open fans along it. It was very small but there was about 6 fans along the line and they open and close when fish swim by. I have never heard of this before anyone know what it is?

I got three.

One is blue, one is red, and one is white w/ red fins. The blue one is spunky and likes to have the male show off to her (Yes, the tank has one male, but just one, and he's mellow) the red is aggressive, and the white is very shy... too shy for the spunky ones who attack her, so she's in her own tank.

Now, first of all these fish are girls. Second, I don't want a common name, like Nemo, Fishy, Swimmy, or that crap. Third, I don't want the names to be weird and long. And last, don't say I should name one Fish or Blue or Red or Betta. please.

But be creative!

So could you help me?

I had a male beta and two guppies die of what I’m coming to understand was some kind of fungus. They developed a white foam almost looked like a cocoon all over their bodies. My question now is that I have one guppy left and I want to get him some friends to replace the ones I lost. He shows no signs of the fungus and it’s been about 5 days since the last fish died. Should I treat the water? Medicine? How long do I have to wait to add more fish? BTW it’s only a 2 gallon tank on my desk at work and I have already done about a 40% water change this morning.

I am about to get two Oscars and would like to get a male and female so I could breed them. I just have on problem....... I DON'T KNOW HOW TO TELL A GUY FROM A GIRL!!! Pretty big problem I know. Is there any way to tell or do I just buy to and hope that they are of different genders??? I would need to be able to tell in the pet store, would they know??? Thanks. He is always staying down at the bottom of the tank.when i set something down on the table his tank is on,he jumps so much he mooves the gravel.it looks like he has scales or something coming off his head.his head is black and the rest is blue.please dont tell me im a bad fish owner because i only got him from the petstore on january 20th.plz help

My molly fish just had about 15 or so fry, and some of them had a red sac under the belly. Anyone know what that is? This is my second experience with live fry and the first did not have a sac on them. Will they be ok? any help is appreciated.

i started a fish tank last friday and it has been running smooth with no problems besides a little high ph. I have 6 fish in it know which i added sunday afternoon and they are super happy and i think one set is already getting ready for babies :) my plants are doing fine as well. How ever i would like to add the fun fish to my tank :) but i wanted to do that today which is wednesday would there be any problems with that?
