there is no "warm season for breeding." that question alone tells me you know nothing about bettas.

where they come from it is ALWAYS warm, which is why room temp is not suitable, and why bowls aren't suitable. bettas need filtration and a heater. their water need to be around 78F.

you should not breed unless you are experienced at owning them first.

things to think about:
money, you'll need a lot of supplies.
100s of betta jars to keep the young males once they've get old enough to flare.
what you're going to do with them.
that one or both of your bettas may die, breeding is VERY stressful and violent. if you don't know what your doing your fish will end up dead.

first, you need a proper house for you bettas. get a 5gallon tank with a filter and heater. put a divider down the middle. put the filter and heater close to the divider and keep the temp around 80F.

the female betta lays the eggs and the male scoops them up and puts them in the bubble nest. some of the eggs fall down out of the nest and onto the bottom then the male tries to put them back in the nest. he repeats this tirelessly until the fry hatch, so it's best to keep the tank without any kind of substrate or the eggs could be lost. i also wouldn't fill a 10 gallon to the top just to help him not have to swim so far up and down. you need the length of a 10 gallon tank because the fish will fight before they spawn.

There are no seasons in an aquarium, they breed year round. You have to be careful about how you breed bettas though. It is very difficult and 1 mistake could kill 1 or the other because they are aggressive.

Betta fish can breed year round, especially since you are breeding them indoors. A lot of them are bred year round in Thailand, which is where a lot of the betta fish you see in pet stores come from.

Breeding Bettas takes a lot of work. Sorry to sound like a drag, but I tried it once and unless you're really happy about changing water and etc etc, it's really too much to take on!
