Anyone know which kind of fish( freshwater) the local store will most likely to purchase?

Any tips on selling fish to the local stores will be highly appriciated

Thanks

I have no idea what they would be called... I think they maybe (I'm not sure) work with the air pump somehow. They bounch up and down in the water and I think the octupus' legs might dangle around beneath him...

I've always wanted one of these things but I've never ran into one in a store!

My apple snail appears to have trouble finding the food I leave in the tank (altho maybe thats just the way it looks to me).

He seems hungry to me because he goes around looking for food in the daytime even tho hes supposed to be mostly noctournal.

I have a ten gallon tank and I have two small goldfish in there. The goldfish bother his food while its floating around... not to mention the current created by the airpump seems to make it impossible for him to go up to the top and suck the food over to him by making his little foot funnel.

Almost everything I try to feed him winds up floating on the surface... I've given him lettuce... that floated but he managed to get some of it... I gave him a peice of tomato... that seemed to work because it sank, but it turned the water a little orange and I had to change some of it out. I've given him cucumber wedges today but the fish wont stop mouthing them around.

HELP! i've had a month of happy fish and then they suddenly are dying! Their tank is really clean but i haven't actually cleaned it before (algea eater) and the filter doesn't make a lot of bubbles or anything, but it is on. Is there something I need to change???

I got a new goldfish at the weekend as a companion for my existing one (who has been on his own for 2 years). They haven't left each other's side and are totally inseparable. Is this normal? They are like a couple who have just fallen in love (and consequently have become very boring, as they are just sitting there, side by side).

As I said, he is so lovely and from eating and swimming around, he seems to list to the side and then rights himself over and over again and is not eating well. Does anyone know what is wrong?

One of my Molly fish seem to be having babies. However I only find a few at a time. How many do they have at once? Does she actually give birth to them or are they from eggs??? Sorry, as you can see I missed fish 101 in school...

Tell me any helpful tips, information, and personal experience you have had with guppies. I have a 10 gallon and I am putting two guppies in a week until I get to 8. (Leave a little room in case any babies survive.)

There are 6 cichlids about 1" long, so I thought of getting a pair of bala sharks 2.5-3", can they be good tank companions with cichlids?
Are they sensetive or hardy in nature? I've read about them much that they are bit tough, bu I require a suggestion from an experienced aquarist.

I am no fish expert, and neither is he, so I need a little help. I am going to purchase a new tank, probably 8 -12 gallons, and would like to know the best (colorful, low maintenance, affordable, non-aggressive) types of fish that can live together. Any other useful information, like preferred water temperature or other equipment that I need to buy concerning a specific fish, would be highly appreciated. Also, an estimate of the cost per fish would be great.

This is a surprise (he's brought up getting a fish tank quite a few times in the past year or so) so I can't really ask him his opinion without him getting suspicious. Thanks so much!

One betta is on one side and one is on the other. They just got in and they are flaring a lot! Is this ok? The divider is blue but kind of see through. They can't get to each other. Is this ok or should I have two tanks?

I had an issue with alge and got 6-8 pea sized snails for the fish tank. I was wondering if they can start to mulitply at this size. I'm kinda hoping they wont mass produce and that the goldfish in the tank will eat the eggs....

I have a 29 gallon tank and just installed an under gravel filter. Is that enough air for the fish or should I be providing more air for them. All of the guppies are sort of going to the top and it seems like they might need more air. The bottom feeders are sort of just laying around on the bottom and they look stressed. I tested the PH of the water and it is fine.

Every time I buy ghost shrimp, they disappear within a couple of weeks. I've even tried putting them in the tank ALONE. Tank is covered, 28 gal, with rock, gravel, and UGF.
Why can't I KEEP them???
