Anyone know which kind of fish( freshwater) the local store will most likely to purchase?

How do I know how much to ask for the fish?

Any tips on selling fish to the local stores will be highly appriciated

Its best to just ask the store those questions. Each store will probably be different and most don't buy them from people, at least around here. They will probably give you less then half of what they would charge for the fish so don't ask for too much if you want to sell them.

As a man that has owned and work in a pet store for years my recommendation is ask your local pet store which fish they would be interested in. They usually won't offer a lot of money for the fish, but if you are looking to get store credit for food and supplied usually they will work something out.

Most chain pet stores that I know of won't buy from you, they have their own wholesalers they get their fish from. Best bet is to check with a mom and pop type store, but I wouldn't count on getting rich off it. I had to get rid of 3 African cichlids, about 4 inches long, gave me $9.00 for them, and usually they'll just give store credit. Just call around and ask them. Really no tips, kinda at their mercy if you want to get rid of them :)
