It seems that the default setting on the filter (max) is too much for such small tank. I was looking around for the recommended rate of the supplied filter (Whisper Micro Filter).

I am concerned that a too high GPH could be not good for the health of the fishes. Around 10 mini-fishes (i.e., bettas, and related).

I can't find one of my fish in my tank. I'm sure it is dead but I can't find the body. I have moved everything around and searched through the gravel, but no sign of it. I know the other fish eat the dead ones but do they eat the entire body?

He is still alive but he has been like this for 7 days. He still is eating and tries to swim but he just floats back up. His stomache is not anymore bloated then ussual. What is this and can I fix it? We have had this fish for 3 years now. And my daughter has grown attached to him. He is a fancytail goldfish.

We have a 50 gal. pond sitting on our mostly shaded back deck with 3 baby Koi. They don't appear to be swimming alot. Are they shocked? What would cause this behavior? We thought that at least one was dying but always swims to the bottom when we approach the pond. The pond is filtered and airated with one water Hyacynth and a potted mini water Iris. Is this a problem for the fish?

How do I remove the eggs (intact) and place them inside a net without damaging the eggs. I have been very succesful in hatching previous egs this way but I have never taken the eggs off the inside glass area before. Like I said these are clustered on the inside of the aquairium on the glass. I have been succesful many times hatching the eggs . So that not the problem . I need to remove the eggs from the glass and put them ionside my net without breaking the eggs. This may be a tough one

Or do I need to only do 1/2 or so at a time?

I can't seem to keep the thing relatively clean all of a sudden. We have a 10 gallon tank, 2 adult gold fish (not huge) and 3 smaller ones. We have a filter system going and a small amount of rocks on the bottom, and we have an algae problem. I have changed the water - 2 days ago- about 1/2 of the water - to almost 3/4's, changed the charcoal filter, wiped the sides of the glass with a scaper and added the stop algae stuff. The darn thing looked just as bad when I was done as it did when I started. Bright green. I feel bad for the fish, but don't know if I should take the fish out, put them in another bowl for a little bit and completely clean out the tank and change the rocks???

I need advice so the kids can see the fish again!

My daughter's betta just died and she wants to bury him. I was wondering how far down I should dig so that animals won't be able to dig him up.

i need to use Metal Halides for the marine tank. I'm not quite sure what Metal Halides is but I did read a for sale advert selling Hydroponic Metal Halides. As the lighting for Marine Tank setups are very expensive I'm trying to find out if Hydro lighting is going to be cheaper and just as effective to keep the coral alive.

A man walks into his bathroom and shoots himself right between the eyes using a real gun with real bullets. He walks out alive, with no blood anywhere. And no, he didn't miss and isn't Superman.

How did he do this?
