1. If you are talking about a group of fish containing all the same time of fish, it is the plural fish. BUT...if it is a group of fish containing different types of fish, the plural for this group is fishes.

Yes - it's a verb form. A fisherman fishes in a stream, a lake, an ocean, etc.
Some might prefer "goes fishing" instead of "fishes," though.

Yes, it's a verb OR a noun as in; My uncle FISHES in the pond, or I have 10 FISHES in my fish-tank....either way it is definitly a word..... :)
