Just to clarify on the ammonia problem in the month old tank, which undoubtly is new tank hell. I did not imply to use Prime as the source to eliminate ammonia, only to say it is a remarkable product to use while you are cycling your new tank,and will save your fish. My sources have been the experience of using this myself when I went through this,and that was 7 months ago. My tank cycled naturally, no loss of fish,and NO problems have occured.I only want to help by trying to alleviate some of the devastation I went through before I was lucky to find this product. The product will help during the natural cycle process to make your fish more comfortable,and more reassurance for the user.

Mine looks like it has velvet, it's belly has gone a white-ish colour, and is swolen as well.

(for those of you who do not know what velvet is, it's a disease that oscars get)

I have an African Clawed Frog, and I was just wondering who else has one. What kind of foods do you give yours? What kind of tank? Tankmates? Mine is an Albino, and is a female. Her name is Peace Out Hippie. (Hippie for short) She's getting fat on Shrimp Pellets, and lives with several fish.

i have an oscar who ate two of my little green barbs, then my tiger barbs died too, but they weren't eaten they died suddenly, now i'm left w/ 2 bala shark, 1 catfish, 1 pleco, and 1 knife fish, which i know that these fish are peaceful. then i added 2 tiger barbs again, what should i do w/ my oscar?

I am going to be going to school and I am not allowed to bring my pet cat (He's going to stay with my mom.) I've hardly ebver lived without pets before. Whenever I've had to, I've felt really strange every day, like I went to work without my shoes on or something. We are allowed to have pet fish there. I would consider getting a fish. Does anyone know of a type of fish that is not boring, and that is fairly easy to take care of?

I am new to oscars and I am thinking about getting 2albinos, 2 tiger, and 2red oscars. Will they all fit into a 55-75 gallon tank? Also how long should I cycle my tank prior to getting my oscars? And finally can I put pleckos in with my oscars to help with algae issues?
