If the water in your tank is too "high",then the fish are able to jump out. Check the floor carefully. It will take less then a minute for tropical fish to die outside the water. (Also) If you have "housings" in your tank, check to see if one is hiding in there. A female fish, will stay in these housings, when they are ready to mate. (Now) If you've done all of the above, and still no fish?. Then you did'nt have 5 fish, you only had 4!.

Like other people are saying, your fish could have jumped out. Your fish could have also been sucked up by one of your filters or power heads. The next possibility could be that it died of old age and the dead body is hiding in the decor/decorations in your fish aquarium. The fishes wouldn't have eaten the other fish completly. You would be able to see the dead body.

i dont really think mollies eat other mollies of rhe same size . if it was a baby molly. may be it just jumped out of the bowl or a cat could have caught it with its paws, another answer could be that the fish died and you did not notice it, if you have other fish other than the molies then it could be possible, that other fish did

If you have enough of plants and other flowers in tank fish do hide sometimes if they are ready to have some Little's fishes.
Well look under your plants and maybe it got stuck in your tank that can happen sometimes.
yes mollies and planties do sometimes jump out of the tank.

Well, if you don't see the other fish laying outside of the fish tank and you don't have any other animals (i.e. cats) that may have stopped by the fish tank for a snack, process of elimination would tell you that yes, the fish ate their counterparts.

Do you have an open top aquarium? If so they could have hopped out and hopped under something and you can find them. If it is not open top then there is a good chance that they were eaten by the other fish.

Maybe. But take a look around the aquarium, maybe it's there dead and you don't know. It could get out of the aquarium. So did one of my fish...poor little fish.

well if they ate it and they were the same size you would see a large portion of its body left. And if you dont see any parts of the corpse then it wasnt eaten. it is possible it got sucked up inot the filter of ur tank that happens once in awhile

Maybe it is hiding, or died of lack of food and is just buried somewhere in the tank. Or it is possible the biggest fish ate it. Sorry about your fishy.
