No, in most fish the females are plain and the males are pretty and colored. The color is used for mating, like with peacocks for example.

Females may not have the longer fins like males but they do come in just about every color that males do and they also come in all the same tail types. There are actually long finned female bettas that sometimes you cant even tell the difference between them and males unless you know what your looking for. And unless you know when they were born it is hard to figure out the age of any fish.

Well, depending on her color, she may be pretty, but she won't have long fins like a male. I had a gorgeous female, the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen, and she jumped out of her tank and died a horrid death. I'm not sure how to tell the age of a betta, sorry!

1)no, only males have long colourful fins
2)um...yeah, all living things grow. but are u asking if it will grow larger.duuno unless you tell me how big the betta is.
3)u don't need to but younger betta are more active and a humpback is often a sign of old age. old fish also have duller fins and a few pale scales. 2 b specific, count the rims on her scale(dunno how you will do that though)

No. females are always drab. also the males have the color thanks to selective breeding in the wild they would not survive long, not more than a year because Betta;s do not have a long lifespan

No she wont, as in most species the male is the more impressive looking animal with elaborate, intricate and usually beautiful pelage, feathers, or fins.
