It's probably Ick. You better buy some medicine for it or he'll get worse, die and get the others sick.

Assuming this is a fresh water fish,unfortunately, it sounds like a viral disease called "ick". It is hard to get rid of and is very contagious to other fish in the tank. Remove it immediately if it is in with other fish. I've tried several remedies, but they rarely work. Keep the water fresh and buy one of the remedies for this at your pet store. Good luck.

it might be fish lice which you would actually be able to see the bugs crawling, in this case you can quickly remove your fish from the water and use tweezers to pick these bugs off.
