I have a red nose pit bull that is 10 months old. I had him since he was 2 months old and i raised him to be very playful but now that hes older, bigger and a lot more stronger and he doesn't no his own strength he jumps on people when they come to the house and now that I'm pregnant I'm afraid to be around him because he jumps on me a lot, he sits stare and drools at people when there eating hes kinda out of control. What are some ways to tame my dog? do you think getting him fixed will help him calm down a little?

I went to get my chihuahua the Super5Mix Lamb or Chicken and they were out of both, the only thing they had was the new Wellness Core reduced fat, he's been on it for about 3 weeks, and he's doing well on it.....he's not overweight.......he likes it just as much as the other ones. I shoulded have waited last minute to get is dogfood. Has anyone else tried it or heard about it?

have a male neutered Jack Russell terrier, which of course needs a lot of exercize. We were taking him to dog park to run around, but had to stop as he would inevitably attack some other dog(s) and we were afraid he would hurt them. I'm wondering if a muzzle would give us peace of mind to let him run around, without fear that he will rip some other poor pup? Would it interfere with his cooling system? Any other considerations? The dog park we go to has a separate fenced-off area for small dogs like him, so it's not a concern that some Rottweiler will think he's a chew toy....thanks for your ideas!

I have two dogs living outside and I do not know which one I should spay or neuter. The female getting pregnant by another male is not really an issue because we have a fenced-in yard. She has never gotten out and other dogs have not gotten in. The female is not AKC registered, but the male is. The male does better on a leash and riding in cars, whereas the female is terrified of riding in a vehicle. I am also concerned about how much more invasive the surgery is for females than males. Which is the better choice?

I've heard it's healthy, I've heard it's dangerous.

I bought some chicken to give to my dog and I'm wondering if I should give it to him raw or cooked. If cooked I'll take the bones out of course. If raw do I need to take the bones out as well?

If you don't really know the answer, please dont' answer..I want people that know what they're talking about thanks!!

but she is already having hip problems, it gets bit tough for her sometimes. she loves walks, but she pays the price for it after. She cant jump into or out of the car anymore either. Does anyone know anything that helps, or remidies /medication. Yes I do already take her the vets, shes not on anything permanent but has had injection and courses in the past.

I don't know what I should do? I'm 14 years old and my mother is forcing my dog to have babies after the vet advised to us that she cannot have anymore. My mom drove all the way to Des Moines for her to mate with someone else's dog. I don't even want her to have puppies?

I am looking for some serious answers here. Getting rid of our dog (or daughter) is not an option! We got a 6 month old male Pomeranian about 3 months ago. At first my ten year old daughter liked him, but when she saw that he like me (her mom) she started to get jealous of him and was sometimes a bit rough with him (pulling him away from me). She has made him yelp on more than one occassion. He is only 4 pounds and she doesn't handle him as gently as she needs to, although she understands she shouldn't hurt him and is trying to be nicer. What can I do to prevent him from being nippy, and what can I do to help her get over her jealousy? Thanks in advance!

She does't want to walk much gets lost in the house and puts her nose to the wall. She is still eating well, and I carry her outside and she does her business. She is 12. She doesn't seem to be in any pain. But her head (only) will shake .

Have any of you recently got a puppy, or do you know if pet insurance is worth it? I'm going to call the vet tomorrow to see about getting Pet Insurance on a Maltipoo that I'm getting in almost 3 weeks. Just wondering what the advantages of having that is, or if it'll save me money or if I'm going to waste money. Thanks.
