Does anyone know anything that helps, or remidies /medication. Yes I do already take her the vets, shes not on anything permanent but has had injection and courses in the past.

Put her on a good quality food and get her on glucosomine. talk to your vet about dosage.Buy a ramp for the car and continue with walks daily but let her pick the pace. If she sits down to rest or acts unwilling to continue make her sit down for a few minutes and then go home.Later on try again but next time try to go just a little farther than on your last walk. She should be taken at least twice a day to get some exercise whether she feels like it or not. the longer she lays around the stiffer she'll get and the worse the pain will be.
You can put a heating pad on her set on medium for about 5 minutes when she's having trouble and after walks and give her a 15 minute massage 3x a day until she's better. She can have Bayer aspirin but again dosage goes by weight so talk to your vet and she can have it for no more than 3 days straight or you'll run the risk of liver damage.Much worse to deal with than arthritis.
Also get her in water as much as possible.Swimming is the best exercise she can get.
When you take her for walks keep her in grass.Concrete is very hard on the joints.I have arthritis in both feet and ankles so I know from experience.
It was discovered our gsd has arthritis when he was 2. bad hips and one front leg is arthritic. Mine responds very well to all of what I've told you. He's 5 now and he has good days and bad days and there are lots of set backs. just keep that heating pad handy and good luck to you.

With all my dogs when they reach a certain age they get a Glucosamine/Chondrotin product even tho the hips, on my large breeds, are OFA'd.For my large breeds when they are 7 yrs old and my MinPins when they are 10 yrs old. I use Glyco-flex products. With dogs with no prior problems I start with 1 then work to a level they need. I am using Glyco-flex 3 on my old MinPin who has severe spine and neck fusion and arthritis from neighborhood kids hitting him with a basketball. I used to use plain Glucosamine/Chondrotin but found Glyco-flex much more effective. I buy mine from K V Vet as it is much less than the vet sells it for.

i have a 2 yr old chocolate labrador who at 6 months old was diagnosed with double hip dysplacia. i started taking her for weekly hydro therapy on my vets advice and this has been the best thing i could ever have done. she can run and keep up with my other labrador because of the terrific muscle bulk the swimming has built up on her. she now
swims every 2 weeks and will continue for as long as she benefits from it. i would recomend it for any dog who is suffering from joint pain.

Get her a quality dog food, like Innova Evo, Canidae, Orijen, or Solid Gold.

Since her case is quite severe, you can start giving her a Glucosamine and Chondronin Supplement. Massages may help her also, as well as a heated, space foam bed.

cod liver oil will help joints.

It's so sad when our loyal friends get sick isn't it? My border collie got kidney disease at 11 and we lost her. Not fair at all. It was 3 years ago and I still miss her.

But we did all we could for her and that's all we can do after all.
