Her nose keeps getting real wet (i think from a runny nose) and i think its stuffy because now whenever she sleeps, she drools a lot. she has never done this before so im thinking its a cold.
also she has been acting really tired and doesnt want to do much of anything.

could it be a little cold? how to get rid of it if she appears to have one??

THANK YOU!
and merry christmas :)

This is really hard for me to type so please excuse any mistakes. Okay, I have a 13 year old Pit-Bull/Lab/Greyhound mix. We took her to an Emergency Vet trip two days ago because her back paws were knuckling. They said it was nerve damage due to old age & then they did some bloodwork. We got the results back & her Liver wasn't working right & she might have Hypothyroidism. We had a Vet appointment at 12:00 tomorrow for both things but then tonight, she couldn't move her back legs. She does have feeling in them because if you touch it, she looks back. But her joints seem to be locked. We're taking her to the Emergency Vet but we have a problem, we can't get her out of the house if she can't walk. She bites & growls when you pick her up so we can't pick her up without a muzzle. We don't have a muzzle so the Vet told us to make one. We did & she's still snappy. Help please?! Shed some light on what to do & what this could be?! Please pray that she'll be okay, her name's Tasha. <3

Our daughter had two pugs... the male licks the female under her armpits excessively, causing chaffing. Why? And what can be done to stop it.

serious answers only. Thanks

Right now there is a circle looking thing on her ear about the size of a dime and the skin is kinda looking like dandruff in that area.

Could someone recommend a low cost remedy as I am on a very limited income and trying to help my dog.

A neighbor already has had theirs chained outside all day. The weather outside is frightful...the fire is so delightful...since it has no place to go... I may have to let it go ...let it go...let it go!

Looks like the little guy already wore out his welcome.

The sweetener in question is splenda. I've got a friend who is diabetic so I made a pie using it, I normally let the dogs eat the leftover merangue when I use regular sugar, which they love, but I don't want to let them have it if it might hurt them.

What are some really important things to know about Great Danes before purchasing one?
I'd really like to hear about personal experiences.

Also, Do you think an 850 sq. ft 2 bedroom loft is too small for a great dane?

If so, can you suggest another breed (keep in mind I AM NOT looking for chihuahua-sized dogs)?

About 5 minutes ago, our black shar pei's face swelled up horribly and she has gone pretty much gone crazy. She is itching her face terribly and would do anything to keep itching it. We have her tied down with an ice pack being held on her face and gave her a Benadryl. What do you think is going on, and how is this going to be cured?

we just got a male yorkie-poo that is 8 weeks old and it randomly humps some of his toys and some other objects. Why is he doing this? He isn't fixed yet, but will be next month. Would it decrease him doing this if he is fixed? We had a female maltese and she never did this. Any advice will be appreciated.

Christmas 2007 has been horrible. Timmy, my beautiful Golden Retriver/German Sheppard, 1.5 yrs old, died on Monday the 24th of December 2007 from Parvovirus. We noticed on 21/12/2007 that Timmy was vommiting and had bloody diarehea and was totally out of it (it was horrible). We rushed him straight to an after hours vet in Blacktown, where I must say, the Vet was horrible to him. Timmy was such a beautiful, loving and kind natured dog. My other equally beautiful dog Jack, 2 yrs old, a mixed breed of Fox Terrior and Cattle Dog, was rushed today at 3.00am (26/12/07) to Baulkham Hills Emergency Vet. Jack is now too being treated after his test was positive for Parvo. It has been a horrible chain of events over the last 5 days, please send your good wishes to Jack, as I don't know what to do anymore. PLEASE, if you have a dog of ANY age, and it has not been vacinated and you are in Blacktown (a Parvo area) please go and get it done now! I love you Timmy & Jack, please make it through bud.

I just brought home a Doderman puppy that was born the day before Thanksgiving the mother died in a fire when the puppy's were only 3 days old. The owners have been feeding them with a bottle for with formula. They started eating puppy chow mixed with the formula about a week ago. I bought some purinia puppy chow and they gave me some of the formula. She is eating good about 5 times in 24 hrs she gets me up around 3am. She pee's good a clear looking pee and poops a seni soft stool that is light brownish tan. The last time I took her out to go she had a very little red blood in the last of her stool. I also heve been reading that a dog not raised by her mother is not a good dog to have. Is this true and should I take her back?

Can a Portuguese Water Dog be left outside in the snow, in sub-32 degree Fahrenheit weather? If so, for how long? I know they were bred to spend time in the ocean, but I am wondering what temperatures feel good to them.
