Where can I buy medication? How do I avoid the vet if at all possible? Should I call a vet?

He wants the snake, but I'm told it can grow over 10 feet long, which kinda worries me...

What would be the better pet? Snake or puppy? Whichever one we get him, I want to be able to teach it tricks and everything. By the way, my son is almost 5, so he is old enough to play with either I think.

It comes from the rear area, and...well, my daughter described it as smelling like raw seafood. We only notice that every once in awhile. Anyways, we are wondering what that is, and could it have anything to do with her going into heat? (she's not had her first yet. I thought she is way too young).

Thanks for any tips...this is all new to us!

Just curious. To save space here, I'll say later what my family's dog eats. Please specify...
1) Brand
2) Type (canned, kibble, homemade, raw frozen)
3) Flavor (chicken with barley, roasted salmon, etc.)
4) What convinced you to feed this diet
5) How is your dog doing on it? i.e. very healthy with lustrous coat, allergic to diet and can't find anything better, etc. etc.

This question's purpose is to see what kind of foods most people here feed.

My puppy is losing his puppy teeth, however the top left puppy canine hasn't fallen out but has been bent over to lay flat on the roof of his mouth. The adult canine is growing in. He's a real squirmer and it's hard to get in his mouth but when I am able I can "hook" his baby tooth, but it doesn't move that easily. Will this tooth eventually fall out or will I need to get a vet involved? He's a rat terrier. Thanks for your help

No disrespect to ya'll, but my dog happens to be the best black lab ever.

Question for you dog experts: When we come home after being out and about, she usually greets us with a stuffed toy in her mouth, as if she's presenting a gift to us. Otherwise she never chews on her toys other than playing with us.

All I can think of is that she's presenting a present to the pack leaders . . . what you think?

Ok, i have a 1 year old yorkie, she's 5 pounds. My dad likes feeding umm...everything! So, when he's eating, i take my yorkie to another room. So no, she doesn't eat people food every day, but sometimes he gives her popcorn, occasional cookie or the other day, he gave her skirt steak (he kinda chewed it up for her, maybe he thought there will be less oil in it, i don't know), i have talked to him 27,000 times that he shouldn't feed such a small dog all that crap, but he doesn't understand, he had a poodle that lived to be 13 years old, he fed her everything imaginable except dog food, she had puppies at 7 years old, but at 13 we had to put her down because her eyes were failing and her coat was falling out, but she would live 2 or 3 more years if we didn't put her to sleep. So, anyways, i just want to make sure that when he does feed my yorkie those crappy foods sometimes, that it is not that bad, right? I am always so angry when he does. She eats Wellness dry kibble.

Just got her and we have a Male Golden Retriever. I don't want anything to happen to her. We are breeding him with a female Golden of a Neighbor so we can do anything with him. Are there any risks?

I have a 10 week old Catahoula that we found when she was one week old, so she was not raised by her mother. The problem is, I cannot get her to stop biting. She has plenty of chew toys, but much prefers body parts. My arms and feet are torn up where her teeth get stuck in my skin. Sometimes she gets very aggressive and growls and barks while she's doing it, but I'm pretty sure she is just playing. If I flip her nose or swat her with a paper, she just thinks I'm playing and she goes at it even harder. I bought some of the bitter apple spray that is supposed to keep them from biting whatever you spray it on, but that doesn't seem to bother her either. And it's not just me...she is this way with everyone.I don't want to get rid of her, but she is tearing everything up, including me!!

Two years ago, my two wonderful dogs were put down because they had terminal diseases. My mother and i were heartbroken. After our dogs passed away, my mother was sure she didn't want to endure the heartbreak of another loss, so she swore to never adopt another dog. After the first year, i got over it. I still have dreams about them but, they no longer make me sad. My mother on the other hand, still whimpers at the thought of them.
Since then, the house has been lonelier than ever. There is no laughter, no barking, no nothing. I believe it's time for a new puppy.
There are several things standing in my way, though. My mother, for one, my father who cannot stand pets, and my schedule.
If i do get a dog, i fear i wont have time to tend to it as i will be starting college as a full time student soon and working part time after school. The dog will be 100% my responsibility and if i dont have time, how will i provide for it adequately?

Im very irate right now and really just need to know how others would feel in this situation. All of my dogs & puppies are current on all vaccinations. My one female had 1 pup who is now almost 6 weeks old. They are both kept in the house and the mother was UTD on vax, plus the pup is still nursing. I do not have people out to my house specifically because of parvo possibly being transmitted (expecially with the young pups) and I am very careful to clean and disinfect every day. HOWEVER. Ths past Saturday my b/f went to his brothers house for a holiday gathering. His dad showed up there as well with his 11 week old Belg Mal pup who started to fall ill on Friday. It had symptoms of parvo or something similar. He took the pup to the vet on Sat morning before the party and the vet gave hime antibiotics and told him he wasnt sure what the pup had. The dad stupidly takes the pup to the party to watch it -DUH! (anyone should know better than to take a sick pup ANYWHERE).

personally I see nothing wrong with it. I would rather have my dog safe in a crate the be running all over the house making a mess and knocking things over.

My last dog I tried crate training but she didn't use the crate BUT she was fine in the house and didnt make a mess.
But as a puppy she used her crate.

I love dogs. I just got a new place with a few acres of land. I was wondering how the dog breeding business is? Do you really make some good money? I"m thinking of breeding boxers as they are my favorite dog. My parents breed yorkies and seem to make some good extra money. I was just wondering what other breeders have to say? The positives and negatives of breeding boxers? I'm planning to buy a 2 year old male and a 3 year old female both AKC registered. Any advice or stories would be great. Thanks and happy holidays
