It is ear mites.....most animals get them, it's common. The way to be sure that is what it is, just check in their ears and if you see what looks like black ear wax, they have mites. You should clean it out with the proper ear solution and some cue tips. You can get a solution from your vet or from any pet store, and it's not that hard to do. For my cats I use revolution flea meds because it also protects their ears from ear mites, so think of that for your dogs as well for all kinds of flea, worm and mites protection instead of whatever you are using, that way you won't have to worry about this again.

Cocker Spaniels are VERY prone to ear infections. I've lived with ear infections for the past 12 years. Constant. You need to clean their ears at least weekly. Any dog with hanging ears can get the infections. Some times it is bacterial and sometimes fungal. So the medication is right only after the vet test the ear material to see what the problem is. Just cleaning them will not get rid of the infection. If you do not treat it they will be in extreme pain and can lose their hearing.
This one you cannot avoid the vet. Your puppies need care. If you cannot afford their care don't have them.

It is more than likely either mites or fungal infection or both... You need to have the dog examined by a vet and they can give you the medication you will need. Cockers because of their dropped and low set ears have a huge tendency to both of these ailments so just be prepared to deal with it. When you bath/groom the dog, (after this problem clears with medication), be sure to cleanse the ears well with a good ear cleaner and dry them well. If you don't have a groomer already, find one that is good with Cockers or learn yourself to properly pluck the hair from inside the ears to help keep it aired out and dry. This can be done with your fingers and a little ear powder. If you got the dog from a good breeder, they will be able to help show you how to properly care for the ears as well as the coat. If you didn't then maybe see if you can locate a responsible, knowledgeable ACS breeder in your area to help you learn better about the breed and its care. Good luck.

Cockers and many dogs will floppy ears are prone to ear infections. While you can get over the counter medications for this at any reputable pet supplies store, I would strongly urge a trip to the vet first to make sure of what it is, and what is the best solution.

It sounds like it could be ear mites or a tick. Temporarily, put dog cones on their heads to protect their ears and to keep them from scratching at them and make an appointment with the vet.

Ear infection, or maybe ear mites. Yes, you should call a vet, because you can't really tell for sure which it is yourself. You don't always have to get treatment from the vet, just a diagnosis, you can buy it yourself, if you like.

sound like an ear infection and cockers are known for them if they have an ear infection they will require treatment to heal properly while there ask about oticlean solution and clean their ears weekly. once done cleaning, swimming, or bathing band their ears up so they can totally dry out. Getting their ears cleared up quickly and regular cleaning will help lesson reoccurance.

Sounds like ear mites. I think you'll have to call your vet but you could call your local pet store first and ask if they carry meds for them. Poor babies! They won't go away without medication.

Is there a black wax in their ears? because they might have ear mites. if so you will need to take at least one to the vet and tell him/her that they all have it. There is an ear wash that is very effective for ear mites. They are really itchy to dogs.
