Dogsey is a great forum. I use it all the time. You can post questions about dogs and get answers from loads of people who keep dogs and know loads about them. There are loads of really heated discussions which you can join in or start!!

Another website I use quite a lot for dog breed information and pictures is Dog Breed Info. I don't know the address but if you search for it, it'll come up.

These two site together will give you info on millions of breeds and any questions you have answered. Good luck!

Which country are you in? You would be better finding a breed you are interested in and going to breed rescue, (you an find them on google search), or to a dogs home/pound.

Alternatively, if you want a pedigree puppy, go to a few dog shows and find a good honest breeder.

Although your son loves dogs, is he old enough to take full responsibility to care for it, walk it, groom and train it. Are you prepared to take over responsibility when he gets fed up and pay for food, veterinary care, and incidentals?

If you're in the UK, this site should help:

http://www.dogstrust.org.uk/rehoming/

I got my dog from there and they are BRILLIANT, particularly at helping the inexperienced dog owner. They also offer lifetime backup - ie if you have a problem with your dog they'll offer advice on what to do about it.

The dogs are all health and temperament checked and they will do all they can to match dog to owner.

HIGHLY recommend them.

hi Bethany i do no longer opt to sound preachy yet could desire to trust the others with regard to the prospect of procuring for over the information superhighway. puppy farmers opt to sell wholesome looking canines yet they actually do no longer supply a toss with regard to the canines wellness as quickly as you have had it for a at the same time as. before long you will fall in love with your canines in spite of the place to procure it from yet does no longer you rather a canines which will stay to a ripe previous age rather than die upfront or be plagued with costly ailments. Our first canines grow to be from a puppy farm- we offered it from Harrods and at 5 he's wholesome yet we've been fortunate and naive. We now be responsive to greater effective!!!! Why no longer attempt searching for breed specific boards and wait until eventually you get a experience for them and then ask for concepts, while you're confident that the talk board is packed with worrying and expert breeders who be responsive to what they are doing? ultimate of success

www.epupz.co.uk

You can search for the particular breed you want, and then search for any available litters in your area.
