a large size poodle won't shed and they are really smart dogs. also i believe a large schnauzer is good for allergy sufferers, they don't shed much and don't have a lot of dander.

oh, and i remember watching a show a year ago or so about a labradoodle and how good they are for people with allergies.

Labradoodles are not any better than any other dog for allergies, only one in 5 are non shedding, and very very very few people are allergic to hair anyway, most people are allergic to dog DANDER which is dog skin cells, all animals shed skin cells, labradoodles are nothing but a gimmick by unscrupulous breeders to make money, they are not healthier and are no better for allergies than any other breed, even with the non shedding ones that do come up, you will not know if they shed or not until they are mature and have their adult coats.
Standard Poodles are probably the best if you're not interested in the "poodle" cut you can keep them in a puppy cut so their faces and bodies are longer. Standard Schnauzers are also good for allergies, as well as Airdale Terriers and Portugese water spaniels. I would also think the rare, puli and komondor as well as corded poodles would be good for allergy sufferers.

Standard Poodles..
most large Terriers, like Airdales..

best to talk to your doctor about allergy medications..my sister wanted a dog long time ago..a regular dog not a non-shedding one.. she took allergy shots every 2 weeks so she could have one.. I know medical advancements have happened since then..

avoid things like "labradoodles" this is a gimmick cross.... over priced, and under quality.. IF either parent were good quality they would be breeding purebreds...

always check your local shelter first.

Well I guess a Standard Poodle is a "really large dog" but any bigger and you have nothing. Danes, Pyrenees, Newfie, Irish Wolfhound, Mastiff, Presa Canario, St Bernard, all shed. Unfortunately allergy sufferers are very limited.

A standard poodle may seem great until you get to the grooming, lol.

Nearly any of the large terriers should be ok. Giant Schnauzer, Airedales, Bouvier Des Flanders, Royal Standard Poodle. These breeds and those similar produce little or no allergy irritating dander.

Shedding isn't the problem, its the proteins in the skin cells.

Standard poodles, standard xolos, airedales, portuguese water dogs, and several other breeds can be ok. Only 1/4th of all labradoodles have the low allergen skin type, so mixed breeds are always a risky gamble.

Always have the allergy sufferer spend a bit of time with the breed before buying, so it doesn't end in heartbreak for the person and homelessness for the dog.

For larger dogs that are generally allergy-friendly, I would recommend the standard poodle, Portuguese water dog, soft coated wheaten terrier, and airedale terriers. Just be sure do to as much research on whichever breed you choose as possible to be sure it fits your lifestyle.

Standard poodle is your best bet.

Or some kind of poodle mix that you find at your local pound - please don't support backyard breeders and the puppy mill industry by buying a designer dog (labradoodle, maltpoo, goldendoodle) from them. If you find one at a shelter or rescue fine, just don't pay a ton of money for a mutt!

The big dogs cause more allergies , why just buy chihuahuas.
Or try singulier, or advair.

To redice the elergies ,

And with the singulier to do what he or she want to do

Any dog that sheds will cause allergic reactions.

Terriers, poodles, and one other that I can't think of are OK. The shedders are the problem.
