Why hasn't she been spayed LONG AGO?

YES, if she is preg. now (poor thing) then she will have a more difficult time! May need vet intervention too.

Pls. spay her.

There is a high chance of complications with a dog that old.
She should be seeing a vet several times through her pregnancy ( if she is preg, or she should be spayed)
Even my dogs stop being bred at 6 years old.
If this is a first litter there is a good chance she can abandon hte pups and you will be left with hand raising pups and do realize htat is feeding and stimulating to go potty every 2 hours 24/7.

Well, of course she will have trouble. You have bred an old dog who should have been spayed a long time ago. Kind of like breeding your grandmother! In addition, you have bred a mix that is not desirable in shelters. Chows actually cause higher insurance permiums with many companies.
Why on earth would you have done such an ill-advised thing in the first place?

Not if she's not pregnant.

Get her spayed. Geriatric dogs should not have to go through pregnancy or birth.

EDIT: Imagine this... You're 60 years old pregnant with sextuplets and due to have the babies at any time, but you don't have a doctor to assist with the birth. Will you have a hard time giving birth?

That is pretty sad that she is NOT already spayed. BAD OWNER. Would you want to be giving birth when you were a senior citizen????
What makes people think that this is actually HUMANE????
