Have you ever had to deal with it? My ex-husband and I just lost our dog to it, and I'm wondering if it's a common affliction in dogs.

My puppy is 6 months old today and we have had her for about 3 weeks. She has been scratching ever since and we thought she may have fleas. No fleas found and no dry skin. No rashes, no nothing. I have no idea why she is so itchy. She is a short haired mutt and I can tell she has no rashes anywhere because she has light thin fur. What do I do?

My daughter (11 yrs old) was playing outside with friends at a neighbors house and she knows the children who own the dog but we do not know the parents, their dog got out of its gate and attacked my daughter, it bit her arm and she has multiple puncture wounds but none serious or deep and she got a dog scratch on her back, i took her to the emergency room, she is now on antibiotics, she also suffered a large scrape on her knee from falling when she ran away from the dog. the pit bill is 7 months old. i am wondering if i should call the police or animal control. her emergency room visit is fully covered by our insurance. but i don't want this to happen to another child.

This is for show people that keep intact male dogs in the home. Have any of you used one of the belly band thingy's with your male to keep him from hiking in the house? My friend's beagle, Cody, stayed with his handler over the weekend at her house while she drove back and forth to the dog shows with him. She bought one, and put it on him. He is a hiker! He has gotten me on the leg outside at a show before. LOL I guess he just looked down at it and left it alone. Have any of you had luck with this to keep the males from hiking inside? Before all of you ARA people get on here, you can not neuter a male if you are showing him in AKC conformation, so don't even suggest a stupid statement like that. Cody took Best of Breed on Sunday, he was dumped on Saturday which could of been a major, and then took BOB on Sunday for 2 points. So he is up to 7 points so far. WeFuss will have another champion that was bred at their kennel very soon!

...transfer onto human hair?? I know that they can live in and around carpets etc. in the home, but do they also live on human hair?

I went to my friend's house yesterday. and her dog had fleas - not many, as the dog had been washed and groomed only last Sunday and flea treatment also put on 2 days ago. I'm just worried if I could get them?

How do I go about training our new family member and correcting their "accidents" and bad behaviors? Do I have to crate train them as well? It seems like everyone is these days but the one dog i previously owned, didnt need one and id like to keep it that way.

I took back a puppy today, black and tan male GSD. He weights 69 pounds and is 24 inches tall right now. He has adult teeth and his ears are perfect. Can you take a guess as to his age? The question about the GSD 10 month old pup that his owner stated looked like a 6 month old pup zapped my brain a litte today and decided to ask if anyone could guess the age of my puppy that I just took back.

What do you think about getting a part wolf dog? Like 25-50%. It would have socialization from puppyhood, another dog to play with a 1 year old lab mix, and obedience classes on and off for probably it's whole life. There are no laws against this where I live and if I was asked what breed I would probably say German Shepard mix. I know how to control a dominating dog, I have watched a family friends, 25% tunda 25% timber and 50% german shepard. It has no problems with the little kids or the other dogs. I was thinking about a german shepard/wolf. Also any advice on specific training needs. I would like reasons to support your answers too, please.
