has your toy breed ever had to have a c-section? if so how much did it cost you?

i have talked to my vet...hers is already planned i just wanted to know what other people were paying and may i say WOW she gave me estimate of $650 w/o complications

shes a 3 1/2lb pomeranian and we both (the vet and i) decided to schedule it so she doesnt have to go into labor (her being so small) so it will be during normal hours...hopefully no complications

I live in Tennessee. My regular vet will do a c-section for $250. At the emergency clinic it is about $1200. I was in Indiana this past week and a friend had to take her chihuahua in for a c-section and it was almost $1,000. All depends on where you live, whether it is done during regular hours, whether there are complications(which you always have to prepapre for with a toy breed).

It all depends on where you live and each vet that sounds good if it is in the middle of the night in NC it is about $1,200But to save the mom it is worth it

By the time all was said and done, the vet made a big mistake and nearly killed my dog.. Blood transfusion etc.. I ended up spending $2800.

The last time I had it done it was $550
