Flash photo'ing my neice's Dalmatian with my Westie, the Westie's eyes show normal red-eye but the Dalmatian's eyes always reflect white. Looking back through a few year's pictures, this had always been the case at least over the past 2-3 years. Is this normal to particular breeds or is it indicative of an age-related eye problem? The Dally is 11 and the Westie is 12.

I'm not talking about the dog running away from home and getting adopted by someone else. My aunt and uncle live right up the road from my grandparents, only a small field separates their house, and they (aunt and uncle) had a dog that would come down all the time for treats and attention (as my grandparents' dog would go to their house for the same, they were on kind of a dog-share program between them) but then always went back home. After my grandparents had to have their own dog put down though, the other dog just stopped going home and made my grandparents' house her new home. (My grandpa says he figures she knew they needed her more than my aunt and uncle did.) She still goes up for treats and attention at Aunt and Uncles, but lives with my grandparents.

I'm not worried about the behavior, and I think it's rather endearing. I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced something like this before.

I've tried body spray deodorizers, food additives, special shampoos, and nothing works. My family wants me to get rid of her, but I love her very much. Help, how do I get rid of my dog's bad body odor?

I have 2 German Shepherds that I care for daily, while my husband is at work. They are purebreds, father and son. They are loved, fed, walked, and both given the same affection from me. During the daytime, I have no problems with either dog, but when my husband comes home, the elder dog becomes very aggressive towards me...teeth showing, hackles up, and barking at me, while crouched on his back haunches, like he's ready to pounce. My husband doesn't seem to bother stopping it, and I've tried everything, but nothing works. It's getting to the point where I am afraid to come down the stairs in the morning, and this daily terror is getting to my health. Anyone have any suggestions? This dog was imported from Australia 2 years ago, and he's always been rather nervous. I'll be glad to hear any comments, as I'm starting to really worry here...thank you...SunnyH

My beagle is a yr old, we just got her a couple days ago, since then we've had people knocking on the door and everything. She doesn't bark, or growl, or, like beagles should, howl, she doesn't whimper or cry. Is my dog mute or something, or is she just really passive?
