You can't stop it. Both of my dogs when they get the chance wll eat kitty poo to.There are litter boxes that have covers so the dogs can't get to the poo, but the cats can relieve them selves.Onother option ,like I did ,was put the kitty litter box in a place where my dogs can't get to easily ,but my cats can.
There's something in kitty poo like a protien or something that makes dogs want to eat it.It's gross I know.

Cat poop. Dogs eat cat poo because they just love it for some reason. Its not about them feeling hungry. There is something about the protein in the poop that dogs just think " yummy this tastes good" Gross I know. There is a meat tenderizer that you get at the store(for human consumption I cant think of the name but just go and ask for meat tenderizer)and add that to the cats food and it will most likely help with the dog being tempted by the poop!

I'm sorry to hear about your dog's bad habit and I think you do have some options. Here are a few to consider: Ask your veterinarian for a product that you can mix with your cat's food to impart a very foul and bitter taste to your cat's feces that may deter your dog from "snacking." Feeding this product to your cat for three to four days in a row may help break your dog's bad habit, and it is safe for your cat to eat. Put the litter box in a room that is only accessible to your cat. Or place the litter box up on a platform that prevents your dog's access, such as a table or other high spot in your house. A covered litter box may help to dissuade your dog from getting into it. Consider an investment in a citronella collar for your dog. This is a very humane training device that can be controlled remotely by you and can, with proper guidance, be used to train your dog away from the box. Citronella collars work by spraying your dog's face with a non-irritating, but distasteful, spray at your control. They are available at many pet stores or can be ordered by your veterinarian.

The main cause is that ur dog is under fed, means he feels hungry even after being fed,
a) Feed more to the dog.
b) Keep the Cats box away from the dog's reach.

You can add meat tenderizer to the cats food. Won't hurt the cat but makes the kitty roca taste bad. Does it really taste good?

properly, be careful approximately moving the muddle containers too lots, provided that in the journey that your cats are actually not pleased with the area, you already understand what they do. regrettably, some dogs truly love the devour the "tootsie roll" provides interior the muddle container. in case you are able to placed some variety of gate in front of the muddle containers that your cats can truly wade by way of, yet no longer your dogs, which would be your in simple terms answer. dogs do no longer hop over, yet cats do.

Just keep clean the cat box daily.
I don't know why they do that but it sure reminds you to keep the box clean and the cat is happier.

Animal learn by conditioning. Punish the dog for its undesirable behaviour and it will stop doing that.
