I am constantly picking them up and running to the nearest bathroom so they can 'hurl'. Yet when we go for our walks the will again eat the grass they just 'hurled.' Why and how can I stop this? Is there something wrong with them?

Is it morally wrong to have a dog and 4 kids without having the money to care for their medical needs? Especially when this person dictates morals to others? I say it is, at best, irresponsible. What do you think?

My minature schnauzer needs all of my attention all the time which he usually gets. He always sleeps with me or on me and I can't get him to even think about his own bed. No matter what I do he follows me every where...Seriously he has not EVER left my side and I can't get him to sleep in his own bed. I've tried closing the door and he just stays up all night howling and crying and scratching the door and he will not stop.

I just brought home a new puppy and she is 2 months old. I also have a 4 year old female dog. Whenever my older dog goes to parks/is walked, she is weary of other dogs and barks from a distance; but when she nears them, she is scared.
When I brought the puppy home, my other dog sniffed her a bit and was actually scared of her. She is avoiding her now and once in a while comes near. I'm afraid she'll get depressed over the fact we have a new puppy. She has moped around all day by herself. :(

I'd like a dog that is mellow. They seem mellow. Are they and are they as puppies as well? Any other breed suggestions for mellow dogs? Thanks!

I have three welsh corgis (pembrokes) and have had two litters with them. All 3 of the adults came to me docked. I had no intention of going into the show ring (two have been used as therapy dogs and one has been trained as a companion animal for an autistic child), so the tails would not have been an issue. All three dogs have good bloodlines and outstanding personalities and are AKC registered. The litters were bred with the intent of being pets and all the pups had takers before they were born. I asked each potential owner if they wished to have the pups tails docked. Cardis of course have their tails all the time, so I knew the docking was purely cosmetic. I made it clear to the owners that if they had any intention of showing the dogs, the tails would have to be done by the third day of life. No one opted to dock from either litter.

I actually like the tails...what do others think of docking and is it ever for other than cosmetic purposes??

I recieved an email 'inviting' me to sign up yet there is no link or any instructions on how to do it. I have now spent more time on this venture than is reasonable in this day an age of computers. I'm wondering if Yahoo really wants customers. If they do, it should be at our fingertips.
P.S. What"s with the CATEGORIZE THE QUESTION thing you have to answer. It makes no sense. How in the world does this question fit into those categorizes? Since I can't submit this question until I pick one I'll choose PET"S. This ordeal took me so long my dog missed his walk.

I have a 1 year old dog who was neutered Friday, and we brought him home yesterday. He has this big fat E Collar around his neck and he crashes all around the house. I can't stand to see him like that. Is there any alternative? I was thinking about removing it tommorow since it would be 3 days. Thing is, I go to high school and won't be back till 3 P.M. My mom is home all the time, she is a manager at a hotel and we have our own place here. She is busy most of the morning.

We live in a small rural town on a very large lot that we share with two other houses, and so we have created a small pack of three dogs. My dog I believe in all areas is a very well trained and socialized dog, however when she is outside with the other dogs and another dog passeswith it's owner, all of the dogs charge up to the road barking and giving aggressive body language. I would be nervous if I was a dog walker. I truly believe this is a dogs natural instinct of protecting it's territory, and have found that if a "smart" dog owner stops allows the dogs to do "their" thing (sniff and "meet" each other) the next time that dogs walks by it is barely taken notice of. I guess I need to know how to teach my dog that it is not okay to go charging at these people and their dogs, she will not do this if I am outside, so the immediate correction is unavaible. Thanks for your help.

We saw a mouse in our house so we bought these blue pebbles that when eaten by the rats is suppose to kill them. I had a baby gate up to keep my dog from coming into the part of the house where the food is, and he jumped it! He ate like 8 or ten of those little pebbles. Will he be ok? What can I do? Thanks so much! I am worried.

i am going to be breeding my shih tzu/pekingese mix with a pure bred shih tzu tomorrow. I am NOT BREEDING FOR MONEY but so that others can have a little piece of cloe&casey. Both myself and the owner of the male are ready and willing to be responisible breeders and we will be guaranteeing our puppies for 1 year.
I would like to know if anyone has ever bred their shih tzu and ran into any problems during pregnancy/delivery and if so what happened?? I am a little nervous about cloe when it comes time to deliver as she only weights between7-8lbs.
I also want to know if the price for the puppies seems to be too much
$375.00 for a male and $425.00 for a female.
I will be taking Cloe to the vets every week if needed till she delivers and all of her puppies will be needled and vet checked before going to their new home.
I will also be checking into the background of the potential owners so that no puppy goes to a home where they cannot afford it.
Thanks So Much

I have a 3 1/2 month old doxie mix (possibly min pin or rat terrier) That we got from the humane society when he was 8 weeks. I've tried many times since we got him to brush his teeth. With the toothbrushs you buy at the pet store (big one, little one, finger brush) even got an electric brish to see if that'd work. he FREAKS out and does anything to get away. Any ideas??
