this is my situation, i have 3 children all attending full time school, my husband works full time but i could do with earning a few extra pounds, anyway have been thinking of offering a dog sitting service where people drop their dogs off to me on way to work, pick them up on way home. i have a border collie myself he is very friendly towards other dogs. NO i have not got a massive garden, but would take them for walks everyday, i have to take my dog anyway. I would however have to be realsitic i could only accept dogs which are sociable and could only accept 2/3 dogs per day. I would be offering these dogs a loving and friendly enviroment untill they were picked up. would any of you use this type of service or do you think this is a stupid idea. I have no idea of how much i would charge at this stage this is just a thought. any feedback good or bad would be appreciated.

My 6 1/2 month female boxer has the worst gas. I am currently using "Stool Deodorizer Plus" made by NaturVet I bought at Petco. She was eating her poop but that has stopped. The last few days, especially today, her gas is horrible. She is eating fine, peeing & pooping fine, but she seemed a little run down today. Should I be worried? I read stuff online about bloat but how could I tell with a boxer, they are shaped different from other dogs. Also, what kind of dogfood is the best? All brands say they are, but how can I tell?

I would love for the Yahoo user "A Veterinarian" to contact me.. I have a few other questions I would like answered...

Our male Lhasa Apso constantly marks/urinates in the house. We have tried just about everything. About the only thing that really works is to crate him when we leave. And when we are home, he still sneaks off to mark at times even tho he is taken out to go potty regularly. I saw this product today called Mark Out (googled and found it). It's basically a wrap around the belly and genitals which causes the dog to only urinate on himself when he's trying to mark. The developer explained how it works. Sounds like it has potential. Wonder if anyone else has used it with success. ??

I know, I know pet stores are from the devil, but I was ignorent when I bought her. Now, everyone ( my husband, groomers, dog park ppl) says she is a shih tzu. I was told that shes a Lhasa Apso and I have her pedigree. In truth, she looks A LOT like a Shih but why would they lie? To what gain?

I've read how important it is to get a dog from a good breeder but I'm not sure how to distinguish a good one from a not so good one. My precious Shih Tzu just passed away recently and we'd like to get another dog eventually. Now I'm worried about diseases and genetic problems. Our dog was only 4 yrs. old and died of AIHA. It was heartbreaking.

he's driving everyone nuts at sleeptime. i lock him inside his cage and cover it with a sheet but he'll start barking at the slightest sound that he hears. since i live in a apartment building with outdoor hallways, it's hard not to hear anyone walk by. i just wanted to know if he can sleep all right the muzzle on. and does it have to be tight?

i think my year and a half old chihuahua may be pregnant, but it is very hard to tell. she was around another dog through her heat and for a few weeks afterwards, and while they were supposed to be separated, i think they were let out to play together every time i went to work. Ever since then, her nipples have been very large and swollen, and look like there may be milk, while none comes out. her stomach feels hard, but it really isnt much bigger, and up until the past couple weeks, she wasn't eating very much more at all. She only ate a little anyways, about a cup of food every day or two. Now she is at about 2 a day. She has been sleeping a lot, and she is much more affectionate, always wanting to be near us. i asked the vet about false pregnancies, and he said while they are possible, with these symptoms, they are not very likely. I havent had to money to take her to the vet,but i need advice. This all happened in the beginning of september,so the time would be coming up very soon.

okay so my dog is REALLY wild. if you let her in the house she will run and jump and you can tell her to stop or no and she doesnt. you can grab her and she doesnt sit still. you can hit her and she NEVER stops! i need help.

is there a medicine for dogs that makes her calm down or less wild?

At night she barks at NOTHING! always at the house or at the fence or just even at the cars on the main road. i never get any sleep unless i let her inside and then she gets really wild! i can control her. she only calms down if you lock her up in a small room and sit with her or you tie her up INSIDE.

HELP ME!!!

I think I narrowed down the cause of my puppies very offensive flatulence. I was wondering if anyone else's dog sufferes from gas when given Milk Bone brand dog biscuits.
