Our male Lhasa Apso constantly marks/urinates in the house. We have tried just about everything. About the only thing that really works is to crate him when we leave. And when we are home, he still sneaks off to mark at times even tho he is taken out to go potty regularly. I saw this product today called Mark Out (googled and found it). It's basically a wrap around the belly and genitals which causes the dog to only urinate on himself when he's trying to mark. The developer explained how it works. Sounds like it has potential. Wonder if anyone else has used it with success. ??

What you are referring to is commonly known as a "belly band" for male dogs (think cumberbun). First, I'd have the dog checked for any underlying medical condition which may be contributing to the problem. If he gets a clear health check from the vet, I'd have him neutered. If he's already been neutered, you need to start intensive housetraining from square one. Use of a belly band during this time will help save your furnishings.

If he's not in a crate, he's tethered to you by the means of a 4-6 foot leash. Only by catching him in the act can you issue a correction that he'll connect to the actual behavior and understand. The tether allows you to monitor his elimination habits and set appropriate limits. If you're in the front room, he's tethered to your chair ... if you're in the kitchen, he's tethered to your waist or a chair. Continue to take him out every 2 hours or so and praise/treat lavishly each time he potties (seriously, the neighbors should think you're nuts). Use a special treat that he only gets when he potties outside.

I'd also get an enzymatic cleaner and thoroughly clean/soak the soiled/stained areas as he's being drawn back to them.

Are you each adults and is it your condo? Or are you each minors dwelling with mother and father? If it is the first, sister both begins coaching the puppy at present, or to a homeless safe haven she is going. If it is the moment, placed your mother and father on. Parents, MAKE the daughter that owns the puppy him out to potty extra, and make the daughter paintings with the puppy. If she does not do, punish her. She's to not cross ANYWHERE or do ANYTHING amusing till she has this puppy informed. Edit: While I believe solving a puppy is a well thought to restrict undesirable litters, I recognize individuals who've intact puppies who do not do any of that, and they're equipped to make certain their puppies do not need the threat to breed. I do not believe them being intact or neutered makes any change so far as marking.

I am not to sure about that product and I see no harm in trying it. I do know that if he is not neutered then he will continue to do the marking. Neutering gets rid of the male bad behaviors.
